Ellena had just come out of the bathroom, sitting in front of the dressing table after putting on a set of sleepwear. She reached for a hair dryer, drying her wet hair.
Fresh. After doing some activities outside the house, making her quite lose a lot of energy. The tiredness and soreness seemed to just disappear after she soaked in warm water for almost an hour.
Ellena stopped what she was doing for a moment. Looking at her reflection in the mirror that was clearly in front of her eyes. For a moment, a smile appeared on her face. However, that smile immediately faded when she recalled the events of the previous afternoon.
Filia, Keenan, and Selena. They are three figures who are poisoning her a mind right now. Feelings of annoyance, hurt, and worry, as if mixed into one. The rage stirred his heart.
Before she could end her daydream, suddenly the ringing of the cellphone shouted for attention. Instantly the dream was dashed. She looked back, staring at the nightstand which was still making a vibrating sound, the effect of the ringing of the cell phone.
Didn't move right away. Ellena stared at the phone for a while, which seemed to shift slowly from its place. Her brows looked down in surprise, because of the ringing of the cell phone that wouldn't stop vibrating, even though she had deliberately ignored it.
"Who called me?" She whispered curiously.
Ellena got up from her seat and walked over to the nightstand. She reached for the cell phone which was still making a loud ringing sound. Again she was surprised when sea found the caller hiding the identity of her cell phone number.
Feeling very curious, she still decided to take the phone call. Sje shifted the green icon to the side. However, the phone immediately died.
"How strange!" She whispered as she stared at the screen of the phone that was still in her hand.
Don't want to bother. She also intended to put the cellphone back in its original place, but failed when the flat object rang again and displayed the words "Private number is calling".
Ellena swiftly shifted the green icon back. However, again the phone call went off as if the caller had intentionally turned it off. This kept happening over and over again, until Ellena decided to reject the call after the sixth call.
"You freak! Looks like she's purposely trying to prank me. Just annoy me!" Ellena grumbled with her eyes still focused on the screen in her hand.
"Who's bothering you, Honey?"
At that moment, Lucas came out of the bathroom and made Ellena flinch and blink in surprise. Her eyes narrowed slightly, before deciding to turn her head to the left, facing the source of the sound. Lucas was standing in front of the bathroom door, looking at her probingly.
Ellena was not surprised at all, when she found the appearance of her husband who was shirtless, only a towel wrapped around the man's waist. Maybe because Ellena was used to her husband's current appearance, so she looked more relaxed, unlike when she first saw Lucas' appearance like that.
"N-nothing, Lucas." Ellena replied nervously and chose to lie, for whatever reason.
"I heard you say that just now." Lucas said, still not believing Ellena. Instantly his gaze shifted to the cellphone that was still in his wife's hand.
"Is anyone bothering you over the phone?" Lucas looked at Ellena again with a questioning look. It seems the man's feelings are so strong for his wife.
"N-nothing, Lucas." Ellena replied, still trying to dodge.
"Then why are you holding that phone?" Lucas asked who managed to make Ellena chuckle on purpose, not wanting to make her husband worry.
"You're so weird, Lucas! Can't I hold my cell phone?" asked Ellena innocently and tried to appear more relaxed than before.
"Th-that's not what I meant."
"Come on, don't worry too much about me. If anything goes wrong, I'll definitely tell you." Ellena interrupted trying to explain and didn't want to make Lucas worry about her even more.
After all, she didn't know for sure who the caller was. Felt sure that it was just a prankster and deliberately wanted to prank her. It's best if Lucas doesn't need to know about it.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Lucas asked trying to be sure.
"No, Honey," Ellena replied, smiling a smile that managed to convince Lucas.
Lucas replied with the same thing, curling his lips into a smile. "Okay. Whatever happens, don't forget to tell me!" He said warningly.
"Okay!" Ellena seemed to be turning her thumb and forefinger into an "O" shape, as proof that she heeded Lucas' words.
"Okay, I'll get dressed first." Lucas walked over to the wardrobe, took a set of casual clothes. Plain black shorts and t-shirt. The style of clothing that has become his trademark when he is at home.
Meanwhile, Ellena resumed her delayed activities. Drying hair that still looks wet in front of the dressing table.
"Give me the hair dryer, let me help you." Lucas asked as he grabbed the hairdryer from Ellena's hand, after he stood right behind his wife. Ellena could clearly see the man's reflection in the mirror.
"No, Lucas. I can do it myself. You need a little rest before we have dinner." Ellena tried to refuse and didn't want to give the dryer to Lucas.
"It's okay, let me help you." Lucas replied not wanting to lose and still took the hairdryer out of Ellena's hands.
"You always insist." Ellena grumbled, forced to relent and let Lucas dry her hair.
"I like doing it." Lucas whispered with a smile.
Although Ellena's gaze was still focused ahead, she could still clearly see the expression and movements of her husband behind her.
"Oh yeah, you promised me one thing." Lucas said in the midst of his activities.
Frowning. Ellena stared in amazement at Lucas' face from the mirror's reflection. What promise did the man mean?
"What promise do you mean?" asked Elena curiously.
"Didn't you promise to tell me about the woman who visited you at the shop this afternoon?" Lucas stopped what he was doing for a moment, looked at his wife in the mirror, just to confirm Ellena's current expression. He then resumed his activities.
Sure enough. Ellena looked surprised when she heard the question. Yes, of course Lucas could have guessed that Ellena would be surprised. He also realized that Ellena was deliberately hiding it from him. Luckily he has installed CCTV in the cake shop, so he can continue to monitor his wife's activities remotely.
"Oh... i-it's nothing, Lucas." Ellena lied in a slightly quivering tone, proving that she was very nervous facing Lucas right now.
It was to be expected. Lucas had already thought that Ellena would dodge again and had no intention of telling him. I don't know what made her hide it from him. Did Selena really threaten him?
Suspicion began to dominate Lucas' brain at this time. Really he couldn't calm down, before knowing the intent and purpose of Selena meeting his wife.
"Are you lying to me on purpose?" Lucas said matter-of-factly. However, he still didn't show that he knew about the person they were talking about right now.
"N-no. The guests I mean are shop visitors only. The shop was busier than before. That's the reason I was very happy and called them guests of honor," explained Ellena trying to calm her husband's worries.
"But you told me that the guest was a beautiful woman I know very well." Lucas replied, still trying to get Ellena to tell the truth.
"Oh ... then I did lie to you on purpose," replied Ellena forced to lie.
"Why?" Lucas seemed to be frowning. He still didn't understand why Ellena still didn't want to speak the truth to him.
"Just to make you curious." Ellena replied with a chuckle, hoping that Lucas would believe her explanation.
Lucas was silent for a moment. Still thinking and guessing about what made Ellena act like that to her. Disappointed for sure. However, Lucas didn't want to show that feeling of disappointment in front of his wife. However he had to know first, why Ellena was hiding about it from him.
It seemed he did have to investigate Selena. Oh shit. After he became suspicious of Michelle, why now suddenly Selena reappeared and made him even more worried about the figure of his wife.
Yes, it seems that the two of them should be the main targets of Lucas' investigation at this time, because the only ones who have the potential to annoy and hurt his wife at this time are the two of them. However, he still had to be vigilant.
"You're such a cheat, Honey. Would you like to see your husband die of curiosity?" Lucas annoyed as he turned off the hairdryer, because he felt that Ellena's hair no longer needed to be dried.
Putting it on the dressing table, he then grabbed a black comb from there. He brushed his wife's long curly hair very slowly and passionately, so that a soft impression was created from it and Ellena could feel it all.
"I'm sorry, Lucas." Ellena replied, giggling, still trying not to make Lucas suspicious of her.
'Why don't you tell the truth, Honey. What do you really want to hide from me?' Lucas muttered.
"Okay, I'll forgive you." Lucas replied, trying to suppress a smile. "But on one condition." He added later.
"What are the conditions?" asked Elena confused.
"Tonight, you dress up beautiful." He whispered into his wife's ear with a slight bowing of his back.
"Is I not beautiful all this time?" asked Ellena looking a little offended. Instantly his face contorted in annoyance.
"N-that's not what I meant. You're very beautiful, Honey. Even more beautiful than the seven angels who came down from heaven," Lucas explained, deliberately trying to seduce his wife with his sweets.
"Then why do I dress up beautifully when I'm going to bed, won't it be useless?" Ellena asked on purpose, trying to irritate Lucas, even though she knew where his husband's conversation would lead.
Lucas took a deep breath. It seemed that he was getting annoyed with his wife's question which showed complete insensitivity.
"Why can you say that it will be useless?" Lucas said starting to show feelings of irritation in front of his wife
