Chapter 201 – WATCH OUT
Lucas stopped his punches because the bearded man was lying helplessly on the road. For a moment the man coughed and vomited fresh blood. He might be trained and experienced, but Lucas was no ordinary man either. Moreover, anger makes his strength increase many times over.
Lucas walked breathlessly towards Ellena. Slowly and surely, his legs continued to swing without taking his eyes off the woman he had longed for so much.
"Lu-Lucas?" Ellena whispered with slightly trembling lips and legs. Her eyes were already teary looking at Lucas who was now standing a few meters away from her.
Ellena still couldn't believe her eyes. In fact, yesterday she could only imagine Lucas' figure, but now the man was right in front of her eyes and walking towards her.
While Lucas still locked his gaze on his wife. Now the pace is getting faster. It seemed the longing he felt had reached its limit. His body crashed into Ellena's body, then hugged her so tightly.
Lucas hugged and buried his face in Ellena's recess. Inhaling deeply the scent emanating from the woman's body. Ah, he really missed Ellena's scent. Miss hugging and kissing her like this.
Ellena also returned the hug no less tightly. It is undeniable, if all this time she had missed her husband very much. Moreover, his departure to another city was not of his own volition. But at the request of his mother-in-law.
Tears fell down her cheeks. Between sad and happy, now the feelings are mixed until she is confused by her increasingly uncertain feelings.
If only Ellena had other choices, of course she would choose to stay and take care of her husband who was still in a coma at that time. However, what can she do when fate has a role to play? Of course no one will be able to fight, including herself.
Now in front of her stood the figure of her husband who looked very healthy and fit. It would be a lie if Ellena wasn't happy, but she was also worried to see the man having to fight the baddies, in order to save her.
"I miss you, Honey." Lucas whispered closer to his wife's body.
"Miss you too," said Ellena, sobbing and burying her face in her husband's chest.
"Are you okay? Did they hurt you?" Lucas asked enthusiastically and Ellena immediately shook her head in response.
"Never leave me again. Lucas without Ellena is empty, understand?" Lucas stretched his arms slightly and looked at his wife's face.
Meanwhile, Ellena just nodded her head while continuing to sob. However, a happy smile was clearly etched on his face.
"Ah, how beautiful is the world of people who are in love. The world seems to belong to the other two just a contract." Adley sneered as he finished dealing with the kidnapper who had attacked him, even though his safety had almost been threatened a moment ago. However, what he saw next was his best friend's romance drama. Just really envious.
Ellena blushed and became embarrassed to hear Adley's words. Slowly she pushed Lucas' body. Although the man was reluctant, but finally surrendered to let go of his embrace. Because he doesn't want his wife's blushing face, which looks so adorable, to be the subject of other men's spectacle, even Adley.
"You're ruining the mood!" Lucas snapped. "You must be just jealous. Like you don't know how much I miss my wife." He added annoyed.
"Like I didn't know," said Adley, imitating Lucas, but with a mocking face. Of course he knew very well how crazy Lucas was when he looked for Ellena and missed her. He would never want to feel that way again.
Who would have thought, in addition to their happiness, there was a heart that was clearly hurt. As far as the eye could see, Richard clearly witnessed the intimate scene that lay before his eyes. Don't ever think that his heart is fine, obviously it hurts him a lot.
The intention to approach Ellena was forced to fail. He was just trying to drown out the pain of seeing the woman he loved hugging another man. Yes, he had to give up the feelings he had been holding back for some time. It seems, what Lucas said before heading to the kidnapping scene, will really happen and he witnessed it for real.
"The police will definitely be here soon. Let me gather these criminals and tie them up. Well, just in case, don't let them wake up before the authorities get here," said Richard, changing the subject. Seeing Ellena and Lucas together would not be good for his heart health. So he'd better get out of here.
"Alright, great idea. Then, I'll save Mrs. Briana first, just tell me where she is." Adley made a suggestion. "You two may continue with the earlier one again." He added with a wink.
However, of course Lucas and Ellena didn't care about that, wasn't Briana's safety also very important to them. Ah, they almost forgot. In a flash, Lucas and Ellena let go of the hug.
Adley had walked in the direction where Briana was being held captive. While Richard was busy looking for ropes to tie the kidnappers.
At the same time, Alex and David came. Lucas immediately gave orders to them to take the three criminals who had been arrested to the villa, collect them there.
Meanwhile, Lucas immediately followed Adley who was already walking towards the villa not far from where they were. It didn't take long for Richard to follow behind.
Adley had entered the house where Ellena and her mother were being held. Slowly he walked without making a sound. The man was very sure that there were other kidnappers waiting and guarding Briana.
Exactly two meters from the room Ellena described, Adley pressed his body against the wall and crept along.
"Why do they take so long, anyway? It takes time to outsmart one woman," protested the man who was guarding Ellena's mother. "Hey, don't be quiet!" He snapped at the middle-aged woman.
"Ah, I don't know what to say, Sir. I'm afraid I'll say the wrong thing and I'll be punished." Ellena's mother finally spoke up.
"Say anything. Why are you so scared? Why aren't you as brave as your son to make such a fuss?"
"B-but I'm not old, Sir. If I were Ellena's age, of course I would run away with her." Ellena's mother said confidently.
"Hey, you're looking to die, huh?" The man snorted in annoyance at the original answer from Ellena's mother. He had misjudged that woman was timid and not as brave as Ellena. It seems they are both brave.
Adley was still monitoring the man. His eyes searched for objects that could be used as weapons. A block as big as a hand grip and one meter long is his choice. Yes, fortunately around the room there were many abandoned wooden beams.
Adley peeked into the room. Luckily his eyes collided with Ellena's mother. So that it can give a signal so that the woman can distract the kidnapper, so he doesn't notice his presence.
After taking a stance, Adley swung the block as hard as he could at the kidnapper's head, like a baseball player.
The kidnapper was blown away and immediately lost consciousness without a fight. Ellena's mother breathed a sigh of relief. Adley's presence there meant that her daughter had managed to find reinforcements.
"Thank you, Sir," said Ellena's mother gratefully when the ropes that bound her hands and feet had completely loosened. Now the movement will not be limited anymore. However, the ties of the rope left a scar of redness and pain.
"Yes, of course. You're all right, aren't you?" Adley wanted to make sure the middle-aged woman was okay.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Luckily they didn't have the heart to hurt an old man like me." Ellena's mother joked a little to melt any remaining tension. "What about Ellena, is she okay?" She asked then.
Adley smiled and said, "Ellena is fine and is with Lucas. I'll tie up the kidnappers first, then we'll join them."
Ellena's mother only responded with a nod in agreement.
However, the bearded man who had been lying down had now come to her senses. She grabbed the dagger hidden inside her boot, then locked onto her target.
If this is indeed the end of my journey as a kidnapper, then I should at least give a souvenir, right? the bearded man's mind was full of lust.
The bearded man stood up slowly. Then run with the remaining energy. In his hand was a sharp dagger ready to strike whatever was in front of him.
"Arrgghh!" shouted the bearded man as if gathering all his spirit and strength.
Seeing this, Ellena hugged Lucas tightly, then turned around. Now the positions of Ellena and Lucas have changed. She didn't want the man to get hurt and suffer because of it.
"Elle, Lucas, watch out!"
Several people who saw the scene immediately shouted the names of Ellena and Lucas at the same time.
