Lucas was just about to get up from the couch, when the cell phone in his trouser pocket suddenly screamed for attention. He immediately reached for it, then stared at the phone screen for a moment.
"Ah, what else does he want?" He hissed for a moment before the phone went to his ear.
"What?"
Lucas got up with wide eyes, when he just got information from someone on the other side. Without thinking, he immediately turned off the phone and put it back in its original place.
He hurriedly ran out and entered the elevator door not far from his room. occasionally he glanced at the watch on his right hand, without realizing it was 03.00 pm. It turned out that he had spent quite a bit of time with Michelle.
Lucas walked a little hastily, as soon as he got out of the elevator that pushed him to the first floor. He looked left and right, seeing that the situation was quite quiet and only a few office boys were left mopping the floor.
Lucas quickened his pace, exiting the office building. Instantly his footsteps stopped when he found a group of people who were crowding outside. Most of them were his employees, apparently that was the reason why the situation inside seemed deserted.
"What exactly happened to her?" Lucas whispered, still standing in front of the main door of the building made of glass, so he could clearly see the conditions outside.
"Troublesome!" Lucas grumbled before he finally decided to approach the crowd.
"What is this?"
Lucas pushed his way through the crowd and they quickly gave him access so he could see what was really going on.
"Michelle?" Lucas widened his eyes, looking at Michele who was lying helplessly, right near his car which was parked in front of the office building.
It was unfortunate for the woman to be left lying under the scorching sun, which was still quite scorching, even though it was already evening.
"What happened to her?" Lucas turned his head to the side, right at Adley who had been standing there.
"I don't know for sure what happened." Adley shrugged, because he too had just found out about the incident and immediately contacted Lucas.
"I saw that Miss suddenly collapsed, I don't know what made her like that," explained a man in a maroon shirt who was an eye witness to the events that occurred a few minutes ago.
Without thinking, Lucas immediately crouched down close to Michelle. He stared at the deathly pale face for a moment, with his eyes tightly closed. The face that previously looked fine, suddenly changed at that speed. Did everything that happened have something to do with him?
"What are you doing, Chelle?" Lucas gently patted the woman's cheek, knowing that Michelle had just passed out. However, there was no response whatsoever.
"Why are you silent? How dare you let her lie here!" Lucas growled who felt sorry for the figure of his ex-lover.
No matter how much Lucas hated the woman, seeing Michelle helpless, it certainly made his heart stir again. After knowing each other for so long, he had never once seen Michelle so weak.
Yes, right. Michelle is a cheerful person. In fact, she always looks cheerful, even though she is facing a big problem. However, not today. Did Lucas' attitude really hurt her, to make the woman lay helpless? Ah, is it true that it really matters to her?
"Chelle ... wake up!"
Lucas repeatedly tried to wake an unconscious Michelle. nothing. The woman remained unmoved, until Lucas gave up.
Lucas immediately picked up and carried Michelle to his car. He put her in the back seat. It would be really bad if he let that helpless woman just like that. As evil as he is, he still has a heart and a sense of humanity.
"Sorry, I can't take you." Adley said as if he already knew where Lucas was taking her.
Lucas turned and was silent for a moment, staring at his best friend who had been standing behind him for some time. He then closed the car door, before responding to Adley's words.
"You take care of your women!" Lucas just walked away and got into the car.
It didn't take long, the car immediately sped through the highway which seemed busy with passing vehicles.
He had only been walking for a few minutes when suddenly his phone vibrated again. He lowered his gaze, glancing at the flat object he had placed beside him. Ellena's name appeared on the cellphone screen.
Just a moment. Lucas turned his attention back to the steering wheel. Given the emergency situation, Lucas decided to ignore the phone calls from his wife. According to him, Michelle needs more help from him at this time. Whatever happened, he had to immediately take the woman he once loved so much to the hospital.
"What really happened to you, Michelle? Are you sick?" Lucas started a monologue in the middle of his driving.
Anxiety started to appear on his face. Yes, of course he was very worried about her. Why is it that women who previously always looked strong, today are the opposite? Ah, if it really had something to do with their meeting a few minutes ago, he would really regret it and wouldn't forgive himself, if anything bad happened to Michelle.
Half an hour later, Lucas arrived at the largest private hospital in the city center. The medical team immediately examined Michelle, after the woman was rushed to the Emergency Room and Lucas seemed to be waiting for the results of the examination.
"How is the patient's condition, Doc?" Lucas asked enthusiastically, after a doctor he knew very well approached him.
The tall, big man seemed to take a short breath, before responding to Lucas' question, as if something serious was bothering him.
"Sorry, Mr. Lucas. We've tried to stimulate the patient's consciousness, but there is still no response. For the time being we can't confirm what the cause is, because the patient has to do several examinations first and the results can't be that fast. Hopefully it's just fatigue and there is no serious disease that is the cause. We will carry out an examination soon, "explained the doctor at length.
"Thank you, Doc. Please let me know immediately." Lucas replied, looking confused and even more worried after receiving an explanation from the doctor.
"We have given the patient intravenous fluids, hopefully he will get better soon and regain consciousness." The doctor seemed to smile before finally saying goodbye and walking away from Lucas.

Elsewhere, Ellena is still faithfully waiting for the arrival of Lucas who has promised to pick her up home. She repeatedly tried to call Lucas' number. However, still no answer.
She didn't know why Lucas had ignored her calls. Is it possible that Lucas is so busy at work that he doesn't have time to play on his cellphone?
"Where is he? Why isn't he taking my call?" Ellena grumbled while staring at her cellphone screen which still showed her husband's contact name.
She didn't want to give up and got back in touch with Lucas. However, nothing. The result is still the same. In fact, the WhatsApp message that he sent was never received by the contact number she intended for.
Ellena snorted loudly, annoyed that her efforts weren't working. She then sat down in one of the shop's visitor chairs not far from the window overlooking the highway.
The flat object was still firmly in her hand, hoping that Lucas would call soon. However, she was again broken by disappointment. In fact, the person she was waiting for never appeared or even contacted her, just giving certain news.
"Miss, our work is done. Are we allowed to go home?"
Someone's voice instantly awakened Ellena who was daydreaming while frowning.
Ellena turned her head, looking at the five shop assistants who were already standing not far from the counter.
"Yeah, of course you can go home now." Ellena answered quietly and forced a little smile, even though she was feeling annoyed with Lucas.
"Thank you, Miss, excuse me," said Reina on behalf of the other four employees.
"You're welcome. Thank you also for the help today. You guys be careful on the road." The smile was still growing on Ellena's face.
"Okay, Miss."
The five shop assistants were about to rush from there. However, Ellena called them back when she remembered something.
"Yes, Miss?" Shinta replied as she looked back.
"You brought the cakes home for your families, it's a shame if you don't eat them." Ellena asked, which immediately made her employees smile with pleasure.
Who wouldn't be happy if they got a cake that from the appearance alone looks very delicious, moreover they have tasted the cakes made by Ellena that taste addictive.
"Thank you very much, Miss." The five maids said in unison.
The atmosphere became quiet after the five employees left. Ellena looked back at her phone screen. She had to give up the intention to order a taxi online, remembering what if Lucas would pick her up later and she wasn't in the shop.
"Okay I'll wait a little longer." Ellena muttered.
Her gaze still didn't move from the phone screen, hoping to get a message from Lucas.
Ellena had been waiting for almost an hour, but there was no sign of Lucas coming to pick her up. Reluctantly, she decided to order a taxi online. However, before she could launch her intention, suddenly an incoming call notification appeared on her cellphone screen. She quickly accepted the call.
"Where have you been? Why don't you answer the phone and reply to my messages? If you don't intend to pick up, there's no need to make an appointment!" attack Ellena without further ado.
"Sorry, Elle, I left my phone in the car and I have other things to do. I can't seem to pick you up." Lucas replied in a slightly apologetic tone. How could he forget Ellena who was waiting for him.
"But don't worry, I've asked Andre to pick you up. Please wait a moment." Lucas added later.
"Just tell me that you don't intend to pick me up! Come on, Lucas, I'm mad at you!"
Without giving Lucas a chance to speak again, Ellena immediately hung up the phone. Just as the sound of a car rumbling echoed in front of the shop. Without lingering, she immediately ran out and found Andre who was just about to approach her into the shop.
"Excuse me, Miss. Mr. Lucas has some unfinished business.. He asked me to pick you up."
