I was sitting in front of an Elf with 3 pairs of wings on her back, we were having tea with my sister Niryna filling money-changing cups.

I was holding a human with reptilian eyes by the neck, this bastard has a Complete Divinity, his Divinity itself is Demon, a Divinity about becoming a Demon.

He himself only has a human appearance on the outside, just by feeling his Aura it was clear that he is a Demon.

It seems that the Laws in this room were in a real mess and thanks to that, he managed to free himself at the same time that his arm as well as a part of his shoulder were also brutally torn off.

As soon as I entered this room, he launched himself towards me in an all-out attack aiming for my head and heart.

Of course I was paying attention to each of those doors that opened and thanks to that I wasn’t caught off guard, as soon as he moved to attack me, my hand moved to intercept his movements and grab his neck almost as if he was throwing himself at me to be grabbed.

Looking around the half-destroyed room I could see a table in pieces, chains and a few of those magical bandages, these things were all destroyed along with the fresh blood pooling around a mutilated arm.

He was in a pitiful state, he definitely still had intelligence in his eyes as he wanted to kill me.

He wasn’t being controlled by anything and he wasn’t being consumed by rage, his eyes were analyzing my movements and reactions as he continued to try to kill me.

“Stop!” (me)

“Just die! You…!”

“What a waste of time!” (me)

Snap!

I alert my hand breaking his neck as his vitality was sucked until there was nothing left in his body, then I threw it near his mutilated white.

“< Authority of the Unholy Eclipse >” (me)

I let my power invade his corpse, mark his Soul and my Will break his mind, then I wave my hand towards the corpse once more to finish this.

“< Divine Rebirth >” (me)

I make some changes to his appearance before leaving the room, his body was inert while the Stellar Flames cover his body that will soon be recreated into a new one where a new person will be born.

“Now only you remain.” (me)

I leave the last room already closing and looking at what was next, I had already been to all the normal rooms and also the two red doors, now only the green door where the dormant Aura was left remained.

“(I felt both the Divine power and the Anomalous powers…)” (me)

I was curious to find out what I would find inside, I looked at the time I had already spent doing this and all I wanted was to stop for a while, but there would be time to rest when all this was over.

I entered the room and saw something different than I expected. The room was all white, as if it were a hospital room. There were tables and more tables with surgical tools, laboratory tools, and machines that I didn’t even try to understand what they were for.

I ran my eyes over all of this before looking at the large metal sarcophagus trapped inside a glass cylinder that went from the floor to the ceiling.

But that wasn’t even the most surprising thing. What caught me off guard was finding an Ascendant still inside. The Laws of this entire room were connected to his wings, and that’s how he kept this place so stable.

It’s clear that having Ascendant Laws that don’t suit him isn’t good for him. He’s unconscious. The veins all over his body are swollen to the point of bursting at any moment, and his wings are shaking as the feathers fall off.

“He’s still alive… but a sarcophagus, seriously?” (me)

“(I’m not going to be cursed when I open this or have a super powerful mummy chasing me, am I?)” (me)

I couldn’t help but smile as I remembered an old movie he liked to watch, the first one was really good, the second movie was horrible, the third one even though it wasn’t what I expected was still fun, but that wasn’t why I was here, it wasn’t to remember the past.

“(I must be really tired for my mind to wander into the memory of a mummy movie… concentrate Zenos!)” (me)

I first get close to the door and look down, with my Aura I catch Arlan’s attention who takes the magazine off his face and looks at me before climbing up with his wings.

“Why are you calling me?” (Arlan)

“Haven’t you been checking the rooms this whole time?” (me)

“There was no need, everyone who came in has already left and after everything was done for us to be here, no one else will…” (Arlan)

“So what is he doing here?” (me)

“Impossible… I don’t remember seeing him… how long has he been in here?” (Arlan)

I take Arlan inside where he sees the Ascendant, but he himself had not seen this Ascendant and there would be no reason to lie to me now.

He approaches the Ascendant, grabs him by the hair, lifting his head to see his face, then smashes him against the floor dozens of times until there is almost nothing left of his head but a bloody mess.

“Why did you kill him?” (me)

“This was one of the head researchers of this place, a sick man completely maniac about his research!” (Arlan)

“He’s one of the 15 investigators… I mean, he was one of the 15 investigators who studied the energy of nature, the biggest problem as well as the biggest concern of the Ascendants.” (Arlan)

“That crazy guy was still considered too extremist for his research attempts, he did horrible things, one of my wives was taken from that place, she was one of his secondary experiments and to this day she wakes up every night screaming!” (Arlan)

“If you hate him so much, then why didn’t you do worse to him?” (me)

“Because of the Laws around him, it would be dangerous if he woke up.” (Arlan)

“I don’t know what could happen and I won’t take unnecessary risks even though I really want to make his life an eternal torment!” (Arlan)

He clearly hates this researcher a lot, but that’s not my problem, the point is that from all this, it seems like this was just another one of those experiments on nature, but what could be so bad that the Ascendants would consider it too extreme?

“What are you doing?” (me)

“I’m not as dumb as Valius says, for him to still be here without me noticing, it means he’s been in here for weeks.” (Arlan)

“Whatever that is stuck in there, it must be one of his main experiments.” (Arlan)

Arlan starts searching and finds documents on one of the magical computers in the room, he puts everything on a hologram and starts reading.

“The information is incomplete, but this is clearly another failure of his experiments, he was trying to solve the problem without success.” (Arlan)

“This thing, by the description, is not a God either, it looks more like an artificial Anomalous creature that was grafted with Divinity.” (Arlan)

“There’s nothing for you here.” (Arlan)
