With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1091 - 1091: Dragon auction (1)

The auction for the dragon parts was set for two days after the banquet.

Most of the nobles had already arrived for the banquet, but there were a few that were straggling behind because of various circumstances.

That was why Amy had decided to wait another two days for them to arrive.

She wanted to get as many nobles here as possible, but she also wanted to maximize profit from this auction. That was why she chose to wait this extra time so that as many paying customers could arrive as possible.

But it wasn’t as if she could wait too long.

If she delayed for too long, it was only natural that the ones that were already here wouldn’t be happy.

Not only would it mean that there would be more people here to compete with them, it would mean that they had wasted their time coming this early. These nobles naturally would not be happy about their time being wasted.

They were nobles in the first place, they naturally regarded their time as more precious than other people’s.

So they would be very unhappy if someone were to waste their time.

Two days was the absolute limit that Amy could delay this auction for.

In fact, it even seemed like some of the nobles were becoming irritated by the middle of the first day. Though they didn’t express this directly, they only expressed this with some thinly veiled comments.

One would think that these nobles would be better at hiding their emotions and thoughts, but it didn’t seem like they cared when it was someone that they regarded as beneath them.

When the auction started, they naturally seemed happier than before.

Though the mood of the auction was still tense when Lin Fan entered the VIP room that had been saved for him.

This wasn’t one of the best rooms, but it was still one of the VIP rooms that Sirius had saved for him. Naturally it wasn’t a room that Amy had prepared for him.

The fact that she didn’t keep him out of the auction was already credited to Sirius.

“He really does hide his other side well.” Lin Fan muttered to himself as he was shown to the VIP room.

Sirius seemed submissive when he was around Amy, but there was that other side of him that actually made her submit when they were alone.

Well, it wasn’t as if it was Lin Fan’s place to judge the kind of relationship that other people had.

Once he was in the VIP room, he started secretly releasing his spiritual sense around him.

The VIP rooms were arranged in a way that they could be hidden if one chose to hide themselves. This was something that had been implemented for the safety of the people that participated in the auction.

After all, there was no telling what would happen after they won the item and took it away from the auction.

Blades were blind and there were many places where eyes didn’t reach.

So there were plenty of chances to do something if someone had the thought to do such a thing.

But in this case, there were many nobles that weren’t hiding themselves since they wanted to show themselves off. They wanted to show off their wealth and power when they bid for these dragon parts.

After all, there wasn’t a single dragon part that was cheap.

Being able to bid on these dragon parts showed the wealth that they possessed.

As nobles, this was naturally what they wanted to do.

But there were still people that were hiding themselves and they were the reason why Lin Fan was using his spiritual sense.

That was because these were people that had been sent on behalf of the three factions to bid on these dragon materials on behalf of their leaders. They had been sent here to make sure that these dragon materials went to the ones that were behind the factions.

After all, dragon materials were rare and they were very powerful.

If they could obtain these dragon materials, there was no doubt that they would be able to increase their faction’s power with the items that they synthesized from them.

So they sent these pinch hitters to take the big items and bring them back.

Lin Fan knew this, which was why he was planning on playing a bit of a trick on them.

Since they were here to get his items, it would be a shame if he didn’t make them sweat a bit. If he didn’t fleece them for all that they were worth, it just would feel like he was letting down the Lesser Red Dragon that had contributed the most to this auction.

Though if the Lesser Red Dragon knew that he was thinking this from the beyond, there was no doubt that the Lesser Red Dragon would have cursed out Lin Fan with all of its might.

After all, it was Lin Fan’s fault that it was dead.

It was Hayase that killed it, but it was Lin Fan that led Hayase to the Lesser Red Dragon.

So of course it would have blamed Lin Fan.

To properly fleece them, Lin Fan naturally had to know who these people were that were making the bids.

These were people that had been at the banquet two days ago, so Lin Fan recognized them as soon as his spiritual sense penetrated into those VIP rooms. Once he recognized them, it was easy for him to figure out just how far he could push them based on the information that he had on them.

As for worrying about being caught for using his spiritual sense to peek into those rooms, Lin Fan wasn’t worried at all.

Spiritual sense and magic were completely different from each other, so they were incompatible to a certain extent.

Or at the very least, it wasn’t as if magic took into account the power that spiritual sense had, so it wasn’t as if it would be able to detect it that easily. That was what allowed Lin Fan’s spiritual sense to slip through the magic arrays that had been set up to protect the identity of those in the VIP rooms.

But of course, it wasn’t as if Lin Fan’s spiritual sense was weak in the first place.

He was in the Golden Core Realm and there were many buffs to him that actually made his spiritual sense close to the level of a Nascent Soul Realm Cultivator.

A Nascent Soul Realm Cultivator was considered a powerful expert on the cultivation continent, so it was quite powerful on the magic continent as well. It was equal to some of the monsters that hid in the capital of the empires.

It wasn’t at the level where the true powerhouses of the magic continent would be stirred, but they were people that would hold high positions.

Such as the court magicians or the captains of the knights.

So it was by no means weak.

Once Lin Fan was done gathering information, he focused on the auction itself.

Even though this was an auction that was organized specifically for selling off the dragon materials, it wasn’t as if there were only dragon materials that were being auctioned off.

The dragon materials were valuable and there was a decent amount of them because there was an entire dragon corpse, but it wasn’t as if there were enough items for an entire auction.

That was why the dragon items were being sold in between the normal items as special auction items.

So far, there had only been normal items sold off and not a single dragon item had come up for auction yet. That was why it even seemed like the audience was a bit bored by this auction.

The normal items weren’t really that bad, but they just weren’t good enough compared to the dragon items.

But Lin Fan didn’t hesitate to bet for a few of these items.

These were items from the magic continent, so he was certain that they would have their use just like the potions. Lin Fan bought these items so he could take a closer look at them later.

Of course, Lin Fan was certain that there weren’t any misses since he had already screened them with his Appraisal Eyes.

“Just with this, this trip was already worth it.” Lin Fan said to himself.

But of course, it wasn’t as if this was the only thing that he would be getting.

Since he had sold the dragon materials to the Adventurer’s Guild, they also gave him a special prize for later. Once the auction was over, there would be special items gathered by the Adventurer’s Guild for him to choose from.

Lin Fan was looking forward to seeing what he could harvest from this chance.

After a while, the first dragon item came up to auction.

It had already been half an hour since the auction started and people were feeling a bit restless. That was why the auctioneers decided that it was the perfect time to bring this item out.

The moment that this item was brought out, the dreary mood that had been in this auction hall completely disappeared.

There were excited looks that appeared in everyone’s eyes, especially the nobles.

Since this was the first dragon item, there was no doubt that this would be the perfect chance to show off.

It seemed like some of them were prepared to go all out to secure this first item.

“Go on, spend as much as you want.” Lin Fan said with a smile when he saw them like this.
