“Is that it?” Lin Fan asked Sirius beside him.
Sirius didn’t answer right away as he narrowed his eyes to look at the creature that was in front of them before slowly giving a nod and saying, “Yes, that’s it.”
Though based on the tone in his voice, it didn’t seem like he was that certain either.
Lin Fan couldn’t help raising one brow to look at Sirius.
Sirius tried acting serious at first, but then he said with an awkward look on his face, “It’s my first time looking for this thing as well, so I don’t really know what I’m looking for. All I can say is that based on my keen sense, that thing is delicious.”
Lin Fan still looked at Sirius with one brow raised after hearing him say this, but it didn’t seem like Sirius was going to back down.
It seemed that Sirius was serious when he said that this thing was delicious.
So in the end, Lin Fan gave a sigh and turned back to look at the thing that was in front of them.
This was a caribou with golden horns that they were looking at.
The name of this creature was the Crash Caribou because of the powerful charge that it possessed, but that didn’t matter since…
With a single snap of his finger, there was a ball of water that appeared around the Crash Caribou’s head.
The moment that this ball of water appeared, the Crash Caribou’s eyes opened wide in panic as it started to choke. Once it started to panic, there was only one thing for this Crash Caribou to do.
It started charging forward without any hesitation.
As it charged, there was this golden glow that appeared in its horns even though the horns themselves were already golden. It just made the horns grab the attention of anyone that was looking at the Crash Caribou even more.
After it charged forward, it didn’t take long for the Crash Caribou to slam into the trees that were in front of it since this place was in the middle of the forest.
That was the perfect demonstration of the power contained in the golden horns of the Crash Caribou.
The moment that the Crash Caribou’s horns made contact with the trunk of the tree…
It was as if the trunk was made of styrofoam with the way that the trunk shattered apart.
It really didn’t seem like this was a tree made of wood, it really seemed like this was some kind of fake tree.
However, that didn’t mean that the water around its head disappeared.
Even though the Crash Caribou did what it could to try and shake the water around it away, there was just nothing that it could do to break free of the water’s grasp. It really seemed like the water was sticking to its skin with the way that it wrapped around its head.
Eventually, the Crash Caribou started to slow down.
It was running out of oxygen.
No matter how strong the Crash Caribou was, it wasn’t as if it could remain conscious while not being able to breathe like this.
So in the end, the Crash Caribou fell down to the ground face forward.
Even after the Crash Caribou slammed into the ground, the ball of water that was around the Crash Caribou’s head didn’t disappear. At the same time, there were a few more bubbles that escaped from the Crash Caribou’s mouth.
Five minutes later, that was when the bubble of water finally came off the head of the Crash Caribou.
At that time, the Crash Caribou had already stopped breathing since it had drowned.
But at the same time, the area looked like there was a fierce battle that had happened with the way that many different trees had been shattered by the charge of the Crash Caribou.
It really seemed like there was some kind of natural disaster that had passed through this place.
If it wasn’t for Lin Fan’s ability to control the Clear Water like that, then it would have been a hard fight.
Or at least it would have been hard for Sirius to take down this Crash Caribou all on his own.
But that was only because he wouldn’t have a way to deal with the Crash Caribou’s charging power with his own techniques. He was someone that fought in close range, so it would have been hard for him to defend against the Crash Caribou’s pure penetrative power.
Once the Crash Caribou was down, Lin Fan went to pick it up with Sirius.
As they stood there, Sirius looked at the Crash Caribou with a strange look.
It wasn’t that he was surprised by the charging force that the Crash Caribou demonstrated.
Rather, it seemed like he was looking at the Crash Caribou as if he was looking at some kind of delicious meal. It seemed that he was just a bit away from drooling and licking his lips over the Crash Caribou.
Lin Fan couldn’t help revealing a bitter smile when he saw this, but he snapped his finger in front of Sirius and said, “Get a hold of yourself. We still have to use this thing for our plan.”
Sirius snapped back to his senses when he heard this, but there was a bit of regret that was on his face as he looked at the Crash Caribou’s corpse.
In the end, he gave a nod before taking out a knife.
It was also his job to butcher the Crash Caribou after all.
Lin Fan didn’t say a thing as Sirius worked on butchering the Crash Caribou.
He also ignored the fact that Sirius snuck a few bites, especially since he was eating raw meat from the Crash Caribou’s corpse like that.
Well, he was a beastman after all even though he didn’t look like it right now.
Once Sirius was done, Lin Fan took all of the meat from the Crash Caribou and put it into his Storage Ring.
Sirius couldn’t help asking, “What about the core and the horns?”
“Is there anything special about them?”
Sirius looked at the pieces of paper that he had been looking at earlier before saying, “The horns can sell well because they are used for medicine. The core is just normal, but it still sells well since it’s a decent sized core.”
“Then you take it and sell it. I wouldn’t be able to sell it even if I wanted to.” Lin Fan replied in a casual manner.
After thinking about it, Sirius gave a nod.
The branch of the Adventurer’s Guild that they ran did have a legal side to the business, but it was only natural that they would also have an illegal side.
It was only natural that they would deal with underground stuff since there were times where things couldn’t be sold through regular channels.
After all, what they were about to do would require the Crash Caribou meat and if they sold these things through the regular channels. Well, it would only be a matter of time before it came back to them.
With that taken care of, Lin Fan and Sirius quickly headed off to a different place.
After a while, they stopped in the middle of the road.
This was a road that was in the middle of nowhere, but the road itself was decently maintained.
That was because this was a road that was used quite often by merchants.
It was one of the few roads that ran in this place, so it was more that they didn’t have a choice.
But they still came all this way because of where this road led.
This road led to a village that had a very special resource that didn’t exist anywhere else and that was why they took this risk to go to that village.
Selling that resource would be like selling gold.
At the same time, it generated quite a bit of profit for the village and the surrounding area.
That was why this village was now being targeted.
Once they arrived, Lin Fan tossed a Storage Ring over to Sirius and pointed in the other direction. Sirius understood what he meant by this, so he went over to the opposite side of the road to prepare what he needed to prepare.
With the two of them working like this, they finished spreading out the Crash Caribou meat.
Once they were done, the two of them gathered and moved away from where they had planted the meat. But they didn’t go so far away that they couldn’t keep an eye on the location.
In no time at all, there was rustling that came from the bushes.
It didn’t take long for monsters to show themselves.
They had blood on their faces as if they had eaten something and they were still searching around the area as if they were looking for something.
It was also at this time that there was a carriage that appeared.
With the monsters there, one didn’t even need to think to know what happened to the carriage. There was no way that this carriage could make it through all of the monsters that had gathered.
So they had no choice but to turn around.
Lin Fan gave a satisfied nod when he saw this.
He knew that this carriage would spread the news of the monsters appearing and it would delay this trade route.
If they did this one or two more times, then there was no doubt that this trade route would be shut down.
That was all that he needed from this to disrupt the economy of the area.
