Chapter 1902: Back To The Azure Continent
The group stayed in the Braun Family Manor for a few days longer, with Grey and Reynolds searching over a four hundred kilometers radius of where the Braun Manor is located for any potential camps of Gnomes or Necromancers.
After staying there for a few days, it was time for them to set off to the Azure Continent. The teleportation array Grey used in returning to the Azure Continent was millions of kilometers away. Luckily, they had access to use teleportation arrays from top Cities across the Aurora Continent.
The journey to the forest where the teleportation array was located was mostly uneventful, even though the group encountered multiple camps of Gnomes and Necromancers, they never met any top experts. The only reason they bother to wipe out the smaller camps is because they could not allow them kill the people around the area of their camp.
Grey wondered if all the strongest Gnomes and Necromancers were in the Azure Continent. If what they said about a major portal being sealed was accurate, then the Gnomes would want to do all they could to ensure they unsealed it. This was the only way they could fully invade their world.
….
Somewhere in the Azure Continent.
Inside a building in a forest.
Array lines glowed on the ground as a bright light appeared, the figures of a few people soon materialized as the light dimmed down.
Grey looked at the familiar building and let out a sigh. He met Ellis in this forest while he was trying to heal Void after causing his injuries. Now that he thought about it, if he did not cause Void’s injuries due to his selfishness, he might have never encountered Ellis.
“Huh?” He let out a surprised exclamation, rushing outside the building.
‘The essence is almost the same as the Aurora Continent.’ Grey was shocked by the discovery.
The reason they left the Azure Continent and moved to the Aurora Continent was because the essence in the Azure Continent was lacking and could not enable growth past the Early stages of the Sage Plane, and even acquiring that would take a long time. However, the first thing he noticed as soon as they returned is the increased quality of the essence in the Azure Continent, putting it on par with the Aurora Continent.
Grey was not the only one who noticed the difference, Klaus, Reynolds, Alice, and even Void noticed the difference.
“Do you feel that?” Alice asked as she slowly grabbed at the air, seemingly trying to grab the invisible essence.
Grey and the others nodded, “The quality of the essence here increased.”
“How could that happen?” Klaus asked, stumped by the increase in quality of the essence here.
“Could someone have done something to this place?” Reynolds asked.
Grey shook his head, “No, I can not sense any formations around this place. Which means the quality of the essence here is on this level naturally.”
Hearing Grey say it was natural and not caused by an array, the possibility of a rare treasure being born then came to their minds. The thought was quickly extinguished as when they could not sense any signs of any rare treasure being born, even Void and the Bunny Leader did not sense anything.
They gave up on the thought of how the essence here increased and decided to head to where the battle was most likely taking place. There were no teleportation arrays in the Azure Continent, so they had to move as fast as they could.
At the edge of the forest.
A carriage was moving into the forest, six people dressed as guards were by the side of the carriage.
Inside the carriage.
Two people were seated facing each other, a young man who looked to be around twenty-six, while the other was a lady who looked to be in her early thirties.
The young man picked a fruit from a tray beside him, just as he was about to take a bite he froze and looked to his left. Not just him, the lady turned to look in that direction as well.
“What’s that?” The lady asked curiously.
“Let’s go check it out.” The young man dropped the fruit before walking out of the carriage.
The six guards bowed when they saw the young man. The young man gave a casual nod, and just as his foot was about to touch the ground, his figure disappeared.
The guards did not have the time to respond before the lady came out and disappeared too. Each exchanging confused looks, rushed after the duo.
A few kilometers away from the edge of the forest.
Grey and his group were walking through the forest, talking about what could have happened to change this place so much.
They were still talking when Grey suddenly paused and looked above them.
A young man stood above them, looking at him curiously.
“Who are you?” The young man asked curiously.
Grey was shocked by the fact that this young man could appear here and he did not even sense him until he was standing above him. Even though he was shocked, he was still levelheaded, “Grey, you?”
“Oh, you’re Grey?” The young man showed an interested expression as he heard the name Grey. From his reaction it was easy to tell that he seemed familiar with the name Grey.
His reaction made Grey and his friends a little worried, only people from the Aurora Continent, or those who wanted Grey dead knew his name. The Gnomes placed a bounty on Grey’s head, and the price has increased over the years, so there were a lot of people that would not mind killing Grey. If this man were to be one of them, then they might be in trouble.
Grey looked at him, still with a calm expression, he asked, “It seems you know who I am?”
“I’ve heard of you.” The young man nodded.
As they spoke, the lady with the man appeared beside him.
Grey’s pupils dilated when the lady appeared mysteriously, he could not help but mutter, “A Space Elementalist.”
Space Elementalists were very rare, so seeing one who he could tell was very powerful intrigued him. He kept his eyes on the lady for a while before returning his gaze back to the young man, “Who are you?”
He did not know if the young man was friend or foe, and at first he did not feel too much pressure, but that was before seeing a Space Elementalist. Without the Space Elementalist, he was still confident about escaping, but now that there is a Space Elementalist here, he wanted to know if they were enemies or not.
“Lewis.” The young man dropped a single name, not saying anything more. He took a glance at Grey and then his friends, and quickly seemed to lose interest.
Seeing that the young man was not saying or doing anything, Grey found the situation a little strange. If the young man was an enemy, he would have tried to attack him by now. However, the young man mentioned he had heard of him, but did not speak any further.
“Why are you blocking our path?” Klaus asked, a little irritated by the side. Being stared at in such a manner by someone who looked to be around the same age as himself was annoying. And even though he could tell that this young man was definitely older than he looked, he still did not like the feeling.
The young man could sense Klaus’s irritation from his tone and replied, “I did not block your path.”
Klaus could not retort when he heard the young man’s reply. In truth, the young man did not block their path, he appeared there and they stopped. He did not try to stop them from continuing their journey.
Grey took a close look at the young man and said, “If that’s the case, then we will be on our way.”
The young man nodded and moved to the side, as if to show he was moving aside and not in the way.
The lady by his side did not say a word, only watching from the side. She watched as the figures of Grey’s group faded from their views.
“He’s his son?” The lady asked curiously.
“Should be. I did not expect him to come so soon.” The young man rubbed his chin as he gazed in the direction Grey’s group went.
“They were the ones that used the teleportation array?” The lady asked.
“They are the only ones in this area.” The young man nodded.
The lady already knew the answer, so seeing the young man nod confirmed it, she looked at Grey’s direction and said, “He seems different from a normal person.”
“There’s something different about his body. Looks like he trained his body.” The young man mentioned.
“I see.” The lady did not think too much ablut the issue. The only reason she came here was to confirm who used the teleportation array.
