The fight was not as terrifying as they imagined, it did not look like a fight. The ground cracked and lava burst out from it, but that was it. That was the damage from the fight between the God Ranks which was different than everyone’s expectation in mind. They thought the God Ranks would devastate the land, destroy the city, and flatten everything that was built on the ground.
It was nothing like that, the fight was over in an instant. Twenty God Ranks died in less than a minute, less than thirty seconds even. Their eyes were on the six God Ranks that tried to fight the two black dragons. No one noticed how the fourteen God Ranks died, how the twenty unknown individuals killed them in such a short time.
However, the fight was terrifying in another way. This battle, or not even a battle at all, showcased the true power of the Tang Empire. It was a show about the gap between the Tang Empire and everyone else. The Tang Empire was showing an example of what they would face if they fought the Tang Empire.
It was also a show that told them the Tang Empire had the power to conquer the Earth, but the Tang Empire chose not to. The fact that the other factions were still standing was because of The Tang Empire’s mercy.
Tang Shaoyang canceled his skill and returned to his human form. Ophelius and Ophelia also returned to their human form, looking at him with puppy eyes. He rubbed their hair gently, “Good job. Remember you are the Guardian of the Tang Empire, and you are doing amazing work.”
Their eyes brightened, but then they sensed a familiar aura from the city gate. Their eyes found their favorite person in the crowd but hesitated to go. Their favorite person was Li Na, who had been spoiling them with love and food. Both turned toward Tang Shaoyang with their puppy eyes.
“You can go,” Tang Shaoyang shook his head, but he allowed the two kids to leave.
The two children dashed toward the city, running past a group of spirits and also a dark-skinned man. Behind the group, Ruben was carrying Igmar like a helpless cat.
Gaius Barbarossa of the Africa Nation looked around nervously. His hand was fidgety, cold sweat soaked his back, and his eyes darted around unfocused. His heart was beating furiously when the Tang Empire called him. He did not know what the Emperor wanted, as the message was that the Emperor wanted to meet him. After witnessing the Emperor’s true power, there was no way he would decline the meeting. He did not know what might happen to him if he refused the Emperor.
“I have brought Gaius Barbarossa, Master.” Maldros or the other spirits called him the Draconic Butler because of his outfit, escorting the President of The Africa Nation.
Gaius’ eyes widened in shock to hear how the half-dragon addressed The Emperor. It was not His Majesty, but Master. It implied a different thing. The half-dragon God Rank was not the subject of the Tang Empire, but the Emperor’s servant or even slave. He never heard anyone address The Emperor with Master before, that was why he thought this half-dragon God Rank might be The Emperor’s slave.
“I have a task for you, Gaius Barbarossa!”
Gaius snapped out of his messy mind and immediately bowed his head, “I will do my best to get the task done as quickly as possible, Your Majesty!”
“I will lend you two of my people, and I want you to destroy the Kingdom of Sand. I don’t care how you do it, but I want the Kingdom of Sand to cease to exist after today.”
Tang Shaoyang’s voice was loud enough that it reverberated through the air. Everyone inside the city and within a radius of a kilometer could hear him. He wanted them all to hear it.
The gears in Gaius’ mind rotated. Despite his nervousness, it did not hinder his process of thoughts. The Tang Empire could destroy the Kingdom of Sand easily, but why did The Emperor ask him to do it? He quickly understood the assignment, this was a gift for him, telling him to absorb and take over the Kingdom of Sand.
The Emperor lent two God Ranks so the two God Ranks could get rid of the people who tried to prevent him from taking over the Kingdom of Sand. But of course, there was a deadline, he had to complete the work today.
“The Kingdom of Sand is the ally of the United Alliance, and we will not allow you to destroy the Kingdom of Sand!”
A group of ten walked out of the city without anyone noticing. They were focused on Tang Shaoyang, so no one noticed them until they responded to Tang Shaoyang’s declaration. Of course, everyone was surprised there was still a group that dared to oppose The Emperor’s decision despite what The Emperor had shown.
The group was led by the King of the Whitney Kingdom, Victor Brent Whitney, and the leader of the North Federation, Collin Morton.
Tang Shaoyang turned toward the group and was surprised that there were still people who didn’t know their place even after what he had shown. He could not help but chuckle, shaking his head. He realized that he had been too soft to these people, or else these people would not dare to come up to him like this.
Gaius Barbarossa flinched when he heard the chuckle and looked away from the group of ten. He could not understand why The Whitney Kingdom and The North Federation, but he quickly pieced the puzzle. They did not want the Africa Nation to absorb the Kingdom of Sand because they wanted the Kingdom of Sand themselves.
“And who are you again?” Tang Shaoyang asked with a smile.
Gaius was surprised to hear the question, and he peeked at Tang Shaoyang. For some reason, that smile was even more terrifying than the Emperor’s solemn look. He did not know but he would rather see The Emperor with his expressionless face than a smile.
“We are—” One of Collin Morton’s subordinates was about to say something, but Tang Shaoyang took two steps past Gaius Barbarossa.
“Who. Are. You. To. Tell. Me. What. To. Do!?”
As he said the words one by one, his aura burst out uncontrollably. His spirits were fine, but Gaius Barbarossa, who was the closest to Tang Shaoyang, fell on his knees. Then his hand clutched on his chest as he found it hard to breathe.
His face turned ashen, drained of all color. His breathing was ragged, his hands and legs were trembling, sweat soaked his face, hair, and back, and he thought of one thing, death. He thought he would die there even though no one touched him. That was just for a moment before the feeling disappeared.
Gaius Barbarossa did not know what happened to him, but one thing for sure. It was The Emperor who did it, and it was not directed at him. It was because he was too close to the Emperor.
He glanced toward the group of The Whitney Kingdom and The North Federation. They were in a worse condition than him, much worse.
All ten people were lying on the floor, helpless. Three of them convulsed on the ground, their mouths released foam, and their eyes were all white.
Tang Shaoyang approached the group of ten that sprawled on the ground. He picked the one who spoke to him, picking the person by the neck, The North Federation’s President, Collin Morton.
“What makes you think that I will listen to you?” As he asked the question, he picked up King Victor.
The aloof and dignified king had lost his composure. His eyes widened, pupils shrinking, and his mouth opened slightly, letting out a shaky breath. Just like how Gaius felt death was approaching him, Victor also felt it, even closer to Death’s door.
“Am I being too lenient all this time? Should I remove your faction from Earth as well? It seems you two have the potential to bring danger to Earth just like The World Government and The Kingdom of Sand.”
Victor and Collin’s eyes widened, their pupils shrinking in terror, shaking their heads furiously. There was something that made them unable to speak, so they shook their body and head. The terrors in their eyes turned into a pleading.
Tang Shaoyang chuckled and threw Collin Morton toward Orlean the Demon Gods, “Kick them back to the city!”
Orlean did as instructed, landing a kick on Collin Morton’s chest and sending the man flying back to the city gate. Collin’s chest sunk in as blood spurted out from his mouth. It was strong, damaging his lung, but not enough to kill Collin Morton.
Tang Shaoyang did the same to King Victor, throwing the body into the air before kicking the man back to the city gate. The remaining spirits also kicked the remaining eight people on the ground back to the city gate.
“That should be enough to put them in place,” He muttered in a low voice. Then he turned toward Gaius, “I want to hear your report tomorrow morning, Gaius.”
“Orlean and Galeon! You two will help him to get rid of the Kingdom of Sand.”
Tang Shaoyang sent the two demons, The Demon God and Archdemon to assist Gaius Barbarossa.
