Dual Cultivation God Returns

“I understand looting, but I don’t think even we can take away a Spiritual Spot even if it is a good one”, Ye Ling made a wry smile.

“We couldn’t if it was indeed only a Spiritual Spot”, Wu Long nodded, “Though I don’t blame you or that Lord… I forgot his name… anyway, him”, he pointed to the corpse on the throne, “for mistaking it for a regular Spiritual Spot”

“It is not?”, Ye Ling raised her eyebrows, since the continuous flow of Spiritual Qi suggested it was indeed a Spiritual Spot, which took various shapes and forms.

“Well, it isn’t normally apparent if you don’t open it up to see. But you know how delicate Spiritual Spots can be, messing up their Feng Shui can drastically decrease its efficiency, or even result in its disappearance. Although the Spiritual Qi accumulation would just result in another one appearing somewhere close after some time. But it’s not guaranteed that that new one will be as good, so cultivators generally don’t like to mess with them, including these Corrupt Path members. Even these platforms they built originally had large rocks in those places, like those ones”, Wu Long pointed toward a few other rocks that protruded from the water around the central platform, “with the largest rock being under the main platform”

“I do see that they made changes though, but its quite standard for the Corrupt Path to use the combination of those fish and flowers, and they don’t really interfere with the Spiritual Spot”, Ye Ling nodded.

“Eh? These fish and flowers are connected to the Corrupt Path?”, Cao Mei asked looking at the pond and seeing the appearance of both which looked quite picturesque.

“Do not be fooled by their appearance”, Ye Ling shook her head, “These fish and flowers are a product of the Corrupt Path’s research and techniques”

Wu Long nodded, explaining, “These are called Blood Water Fish and Blood Drinking Lotus, used by Corrupt Path throughout the Seven Boundless Worlds, and both are species that were artificially created. The Blood Water Fish eat and digest everything and I do mean everything that belongs to the human body, they even digest clothes, leaving nothing behind, the only thing they don’t process is blood which they expel through several tiny orifices along their sides, similar to how they expel water through gills after extracting air to breathe from it. The roots of the Blood Drinking Lotus absorb all the blood, and both the flowers and the fish release the specific Qi that is beneficial for Corrupt Path cultivation”

“Eh”, Cao Mei’s expression turned sour as the flowers and fish did not look so beautiful anymore.

“Well, we certainly don’t need them”, Wu Long nodded with a smile, raising his hand and the water in the pond moved, as the fish started to suddenly struggle as if their movements became restricted, and then slowly rose in bubbles of water along with the flowers that were completely uprooted.

More water flowed up the platform, washing up the blood and corpses, and raising them up in another bigger bubble.

Fen Baihu’s mist appeared around them, and as it quickly dissipated nothing remained, the pond returning close to the state it was before the Corrupt Path took over, only the platforms and the bridge still reminding of what was here before.

The water level in the pond, of course, fell, but it was not that significant to Wu Long, who appeared atop the central platform and using the Earth Rune, flung the entire stone platform with the throne to the side, landing it outside the edge of the pond along with the part of the bridge which was connected to the platform and was torn off.

This revealed the original rock under the platform, which top was cut off to make a foundation.

He then used the Earth Rune to carefully raise the entire boulder, and the Water Rune to keep the water from rushing in, keeping and even slightly enlarging a circular opening while he raised more and more of the rocks and soil, along with more and more rocks that had vein-like glowing parts in them, with increasing levels of how much of the rocks were glowing, though the ones he extracted earlier started to gradually lose their glow as they lost the connection to the Spiritual Qi spewing from beneath.

Meanwhile, the hole that Wu Long dug became deeper and deeper, until a turquoise light shone from below, and he descended toward it.

“See, like you, that Lord Something thought that the vein of Exquisite Turquoise Jade ore at the bottom of the pond was just a catalyst for the Spiritual Spot, well, it was but it is also a very specific type of Exquisite Turquoise Jade…”, as Wu Long spoke, Ye Ling’s eyes widened, realizing something.

A serene, calming aura spread from the circular opening from within which Wu Long’s voice reached them along with a turquoise color light that gradually started getting paler and paler, as well as losing the intensity.

“…which is only found in nature around this”, Wu Long rose carrying a rock twice his size, with white jade, that very glowed white, protruding from all sides, likely taking up most of what Wu Long was carrying.

Ye Ling, and Liang Yuhan gasped at the sight of the jade, a whisper coming from the latter, “Mind-Calming White Jade…”

The intensity of the jade’s glow began to subside as the calming aura intensified, the Spiritual Qi, previously flowing through the jade in large quantities seemingly having interfered with its natural properties. Eventually, the glow subsided, but not disappeared, turning gentle and soft.

Fen Baihu was the only one aside from Wu Long who knew it was there and thus was just having fun watching the reactions of the others. Though Yuanfen didn’t really show much of a reaction.

All of the beauties felt a calming aura that seemed to evoke thoughts and facilitate a tranquil, meditative state of mind.

Luo Mingyu, Nie Xiwang, Yu Huan, Gong Cui, and Cai Yin in particular seemed to be mesmerized by it’s aura and even just the profound waves of its gentle glow.

“To think such a superb meditative natural treasure, especially of this size, purity, and quality was just laying there unnoticed…”, Ye Ling shook her head, thinking of how she thought this place had a good atmosphere for cultivation simply because of it being a Spiritual Spot, and missed this truly valuable treasure buried inside, most of its effects sealed by the Spiritual Spot.

“Haha, I know right, the guy was quite literally sitting on a hidden treasure”, Wu Mengqi chuckled, thinking of the Corrupt Cultivator who spent decades, maybe even hundreds or thousands of years sitting on that spot, exactly above where it was buried.

“Though I don’t know if it should be left naturally like this, it does seem to need a very skillful carver though”, Sui Luxiao added.

“Indeed”, Wu Long nodded, “This treasure’s effectiveness can massively increase when carved right. It’ll have to be extracted from the rock, and some pieces would have to come off as there are impurities going in between, so we will end up with several big chunks, and a lot of smaller pieces. However, although I did many things in my past life, jade carving wasn’t one of them, so we’ll have to search for a professional. Until that time, though, even like this it is already something we can use in collective meditations”

After stashing the treasure, Wu Long restored the pond’s previous state, stuffing the throne and the crushed stone platform underneath it to take the place of the jade he took out. But as expected, the Spiritual Spot was already too disrupted and gradually began fizzling out. Though by restoring the pond, he ensured that when Spiritual Qi began naturally accumulating in the future, it would eventually find its outlet through this place.
