"You're too formal, Michael, there's no problem," Frank said, picking some green grapes. "Want more fruit?"

"A-Ah… indulging on more would be gluttony…" Michael furrowed her eyebrows, crossing her arms as she glared at Frank with a strict attitude.

"Oh… sorry," Frank muttered.

"Pfff… Hahaha!" However, Michael laughed.

"Eh?!" Frank glanced at her laughing out of nowhere.

"I was messing with you! Did you really think we angels are like that? I would gladly eat some more, Frank, thank you," Michael giggled, patting his head as she grabbed more grapes to eat.

"I never thought I would get pranked by an angel… Life sure is full of surprises, huh?" Frank sighed.

"Something is stalking us…" Michael looked behind herself, as she pointed into the distance.

"…" Frank quickly noticed it too without making it as if he found out.

He could see a large silhouette behind some trees, beneath the shadows of these trees.

It looked very large and covered with fur.

"Maybe a bear of some sort…" Frank wondered. "Maybe I should just leave it be."

"I am not opposed to hunting, as long as there's a purpose for it…" Michael said. "You can level up by hunting living beings, right? And if you eat their meat and use their bones and pelt, then it wouldn't be a wasted life."

"…Alright then, let's test your abilities, Michael," Frank nodded, as Michael turned into a glistening golden spear, which he grabbed with his hand. "Hey! I know you're there, come out, big guy."

"GRRRHHH!"

The creature, having noticed it was spotted, roared angrily, emerging from the woods!

RUMBLE!

Its footsteps made its surroundings tremble.

It was indeed some kind of bear, but not the one Frank expected.

It was huge, almost over three meters high.

It had four giant arms, and it had brown and red fur, with a blazing pelt behind its back, and fiery crimson eyes.

"GRUUOOOOHHH!"

The bear roared furiously, flames began emerging from his body, spreading fire across the forest.

"Wait, wait, you're going to burn the whole damn forest!"

As Frank saw the horror of his beautiful forest about to get burned, the bear charged towards him without any hesitation.

The bear swung all four of its claws against him once he got closer, blazing with power!

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

Four consecutive attacks hit him, as Frank held on with a Mana Barrier he created on the spot, which shattered after the fourth hit.

"Not bad, this bear must be stronger than the Yokai we fought before…"

"Yokai?"

"They're Evil Spirits or Monsters that appear in Japan; I'll explain it to you later."

"GROOOHHH!"

The bear charged against Frank once more, as the young man quickly gave a step forward, and then ducked!

He lowered his entire body, until the bear, who had leaped against him was right above him for a split second.

"HAAAAH!"

With all his strength, Frank swung the spear upwards, piercing the chest of the bear and splattering blood everywhere in the process.

CRASH!

The bear fell to the ground after that, groaning in pain as the spear got stuck onto his chest.

Frank ran towards the bear to finish it off, but the bear stood back up.

"GRRHHHH!"

Furious, the bear's blazing pelt grew larger, generating dozens of fireballs and firing them against him!

"It even knows some magic; this is definitely not a normal monster…!"

Frank quickly began evading the fireballs easily, his stats had risen enough he was able to easily see and predict their trajectory.

"{Gust}!"

Using his Level 10 Gust Spell, Frank generated gusts of emerald winds around his body, pushing himself to move faster!

Suddenly, his aura transformed into a giant white and golden halo, showing seven paths in the form of smaller halos attached to them.

Only one path was available, Michael's!

The bear let out a loud cry, as four powerful piercing blows pierced its tough hide, beams of light piercing holes through its body!

Until the bear could no longer hold onto his life, and dropped dead into the floor…

"Whew, that was… refreshing…" Frank sighed in relief. "I needed to exercise a bit… Though now I feel bad… I killed one of my own creations…"

"It is technically not your creation but a derivative of the things you used," explained Michael. "But even then, yes, it might be considered your creation… And despite how you may feel, I believe that's a good thing."

"Feeling bad?" Frank asked.

"Yes, it means you've not let your own strength corrupt you with pride and arrogance, you feel bad for the life you took, you feel guilt, that means you're conscious of your own actions," Michael explained. "You're still a human, you have emotions, and you've not grown dull to the bloodshed."

"Is that a good thing? But…" Frank muttered.

"Yes, it is a good thing," Michael smiled. "You're the Angelic Knight of Humility after all. It is within your very nature to be like this… And it is even more admirable when you fight and defeat foes, even when you pity them, even when you know you will feel bad once it's done…"
