ETERNAL CULTIVATION OF ALCHEMY

Chapter 2537 - 2537: The Best Pill Yet

Considering that he could just make the pill again even if he failed, Alex decided to trust her. It was a good opportunity to see the extent of Memory’s new abilities as well.

Alex still kept his Qi around the pill but let Memory handle the rest.

When the next pill lightning fell, another barrier sprung up suddenly, created using the energy from the previous lightning bolt. This barrier was stronger than the last one but not as strong when compared to the pill lightning that came down.

Still, it did well to stop the bolt.

Memory seemed confident she could defend against the next one as well, so Alex let her.

This time around, the barrier was barely strong enough to defend against the pill lightning. The next one would no doubt be shattered, and the pill within it destroyed.

Still, Memory wanted to try defending against it.

“Let’s work together, Master,” Memory said.

The next pill lightning would have the strength of Immortal Transcendent 6th realm. Considering Alex only had Immortal Transcendent 3rd realm worth of power, even after adding all his Battle Power, this was going to be difficult to protect against.

However, if he were to work together with Memory, there was maybe a chance.

“Alright, let’s do it!”

Alex pumped out a lot of Qi from his body at that exact moment, pouring all of it into Memory. At the same time, he sent through their bond his understanding of two of his techniques.

The Jade Body technique and the All-Swirling Elemental Shield technique.

Memory’s physical body hardened all of a sudden while, at the same time, a swirling energy appeared above it in a convex shape. Beyond it was the half-sphere barrier. With Alex’s Qi protecting the pill at the bottom, there were four layers of protection for this pill now.

He couldn’t imagine anything happening to it now.

The 6th Pill Lightning fell from the sky and struck the first barrier. The barrier shattered almost immediately, weakening the pill lightning somewhat but not enough.

The lightning then struck the All-Swirling Elemental Shield, and while the shield absorbed a lot of the energy from the pill lightning, it too couldn’t stop all of it.

The lightning came down further, striking Memory’s physical body. With the Jade Body technique, Memory was strengthened far beyond the capacity of any Immortal lightning to destroy it.

Pill lightning usually could bypass the physical barrier and strike the pill inside of it, but with Memory’s ability to absorb energy to be used for later, a significant portion of the pill lightning was stripped away by the strengthened cauldron.

In the end, the remaining power of the pill lightning was nowhere near strong enough to destroy the Qi that covered the pill at all.

When the pill lightning vanished, it left behind a surge of energy that quickly flew into the pill, forming the 6th pill vein.

Alex immediately dismissed the pill clouds and felt a wave of joy come to him through his bond with Memory. His own feelings reflected that joy as well.

This was the very first time in a long, long time that he had been able to make a pill with six pill veins this early on, and it was all thanks to Memory.

“You were incredible, Memory,” Alex said in a low voice.

Memory was happy at being praised. He could almost hear the grin the spirit had on her face at that moment. He ignored her for the moment and pulled out the pill from the cauldron.

The six-veined pill glistened with all five colors in the morning sunlight, appearing exquisite. He smiled as he looked at it and called for the Divinity who stood outside.

Once the man entered, Alex handed over the pill to register. Thankfully, there was no trouble with registering this time around; the Alchemy God didn’t have to descend from his chamber.

Once the pill was registered, all Alex had to do now was wait.

While he waited, Alex looked through himself, trying to learn what had changed after his breakthrough. All parts of him, even his body, had improved during that time, and he had become stronger.

Alex wondered how quickly he would be able to cultivate if the Qi he absorbed was always as good as the one that descended from the heavens. He had no doubt he would become a Divinity in a month.

The remaining few hours passed before Alex knew it, and the final round came to an end. Now, all that remained was for the winner to be decided.

But, of course, things weren’t going to be so easy.

Alex smiled when he saw that Aethersage, too, had managed to create a pill with 100% harmony. They were going to go at it again.

Now that there were no more recipes to be created after this, Alex didn’t mind seeing how long the two of them could last. It was no doubt going to be multiple hours before one of them was too tired to avoid making a mistake.

He brought out the next set of ingredients to start making the pill again when he noticed someone’s arrival. He looked up and saw the Alchemy God.

The Alchemy God had a wide smile on his face, one that seemed not to be for show.

“Your Majesty,” Alex quickly bowed.

“I didn’t want to disturb you earlier, so I didn’t come. But congratulations on learning an Axiom. It is not every day that one manages to do that,” the man said.

Alex was surprised for a moment that the Alchemy God knew what it was, but thinking just barely more, it was obvious the man would know. He was not a god for nothing.

“Thank you, Your Majesty.”

The Alchemy God raised an eyebrow upon seeing Alex’s response but let it go.

“I didn’t come to simply congratulate you, of course,” the Alchemy God said. “I have come carrying a message from Aethersage regarding how he wants to find the winner of the tournament.”

“Would you like to hear it?”
