Chapter 2028  The End Has Come.

Demon gods need ANNIHILATION’s permission just as demon lords need the permission of the will of the Abyss to become demon kings. ANNIHILATION is not selfish with power, considering that it has infinite energy. So it gave every world ender the power they wanted. Unfortunately, they couldn’t handle it and lost their minds. All of this was done instinctively. ANNIHILATION managed it even though it was unconscious. It is because its existence seeks to exert its will on the void even without its active control. It created mad world enders when it was unconscious. These world enders just need a little nudge for them to go berserk. ANNIHILATION gave them that nudge now that it was awake to do so. ANNIHILATION would have remained asleep if not for the fact that there was another entity in the void universe that was capable of taking away the control of chaos from it.

Not that the weak entity would have succeeded. They were too weak to wrest control from it even though it was asleep. But even the mere chance that the entity would challenge its and the presence of their existence authority woke ANNIHILATION up as it thought the entity was the Lord of Madness. The world enders began destroying realm trees indiscriminately and attacking the corridor of worlds in a coordinated strike. This sped up the end of the void universe. Plus, there were two other creatures within the void universe that were doing a lot to weaken the void universe. One of those creatures convinced the overgod to quit its job of maintaining the void universe, and the other is undermining the power of the corridor of worlds by stealing world gods from the void universe. With the void universe weakening from within and the overgod absent from keeping the void universe intact, world enders and world gods can run amok. So the end of the void universe that was supposed to arrive for another 10,000 origin cycles arrived just a little over 100,000 years. The end of the void universe came ten thousand times faster than normal. It would have been quicker if not for the Archons fighting off the world enders and working overtime to keep the corridor of worlds in working order. Unfortunately, all the fighting caused wear and tear in the system. It caused entropy to rise beyond the level that the law of order could maintain order. So the void universe reached its end. If it were any other universe, this kind of thing would spell its doom. But the void universe is not normal. It possesses something that can help it heal and recover back to its peak state. This is how the void universe has managed to remain standing even after many universes used to imprison ANNIHILATION have perished. The void universe and one other universe are in possession of this special item. The two of them work together to keep ANNIHILATION’s prison working. At any other time, the end of the chaos cycle would just be an interlude in ANNIHILATION’s imprisonment. But not this time. This time, it is awake. Since it is awake, things won’t go like they used to.

With void energy becoming as corrosive as chaos energy, the void universe became hostile to them and began killing them. Origin gods died in droves to the void energy that they used to be able to refine into origin essence. Only Supreme Origin gods could barely hold on.

But even Supreme Origin gods couldn’t hold on anymore when space began to collapse and the world of manifestation began to collapse. With the collapse of the world of manifestation, only the dark side of the void universe remained. But the dark side of the void universe is not for Supreme Origin gods. If anything was not destroyed by void energy or spatial tears, then they were crushed by the dark side of the void universe.

The once-familiar void universe became hellish and inconducive to life. Without realm trees, nothing that needed the help of the void universe to survive could remain alive. Only world gods and the origin gods within their worlds could survive in this hellish environment. Every weaker entity died immediately. These changes took a lot of people off guard.
