ISEKAI JOURNEY OF THE MAGIC ARCHER
Chapter 1153 - 1153: Who are they? Who are you?[Charles’ POV: ]
“Hey mister! What are you doing?! Let’s get moving!” A voice I was well familiar with called me from behind right when I was having that strange feeling.
Looking back, a certain individual that I had been with for a few years now looked back at me with a grumpy expression.
“What are you doing just standing there?! Let’s go! It’s time already! Everyone’s waiting!” She was short but I would never dare call her short.
I valued my life quite a bit, the others in our party would share the same opinion.
“I just had this strange feeling that we were being watched, so I was looking around. Don’t you think this place is strange?” Holding her long stall taller than her, one that must be as heavy as she was, she looked up at me with another strange expression.
“Of course this place is strange. Do you see what that is over there? The forbidden great forest! Don’t you think I would have been feeling weirded out as well?! My skin has been itchy ever since we got here!
I never even wanted to do this in the first place! I still don’t understand how you convinced me into this craziness!”
Her long elvan ears were all red once again… I’d die if I called them adorable, but they sure were as cute as ever.
“The great plains of Adanca was never a simple place, but I still don’t understand why I feel like there’s something over there.
The great forest is right over there, the energy atrophy is the best to enter into the forest in this area. And finding this place has not been easy… I don’t want the efforts we all put into this to go to waste anymore.”
She was one of the youngest elder mages on the planet. She was about a hundred and fifty years old, pretty young in the elvan years, and still, she stood on a stage that not many could even fathom.
She was the shortest in the party, and yet she was the second oldest one among us after Elder Elderard. Her intuition was something that had saved us countless times before, and this time as well, if she also had this strange feeling, we could not afford to look over it.
“Do you want to go there and check it out? Do you think there’s someone hiding over there? Some kind of creature that might come after us when we aren’t expecting?”
In the great plains of Adanca, the creatures that you encounter are always something simple. They are dangerous, we just fought off three (Purple) ranked beasts, but they were still easy to deal with.
‘Having an elder mage, a King-ranked swordsman, a poison expert, a great craftsman, as well as a bunch of capable people made fighting these creatures relatively easier.’
We weren’t called one of the top parties in the world for nothing… but still, it was never a good thing to ignore an adventurer woman’s intuition. Who knows when something that we had not expected to pop out of the blue and destroy our party?
‘We have prepared to give our lives to this cause already. The decision to come here was not made on a whim.’
We all have our own goals and to fulfill most of those goals, this expedition was going to be a great help… Some needed materials from that forbidden forest while some wanted to look for forgotten creatures.
Everyone with us was with us by choice, so, before we go inside that forest and achieve our objective, I’m not letting anyone die in vain.
“I don’t know what there might be, but whatever it is doesn’t seem to be hostile. If they were hostile, I have this feeling that all of us would have died already.” the strange feeling that she could feel… it was obvious from her expression that it wasn’t as simple as I had considered it.
If even she has this kind of expression, then whatever is watching us from there, must be something far beyond our capabilities.
‘Perhaps a divine beast or perhaps something like a demon.’
In these great plains, after seeing all the strange things until now, and after having read about the things that we might see in the great forest, I don’t even want to know what that thing is.
As long as it’s not doing anything to any of us, we should just ignore it and continue on with what we have been up to.
“So, let’s just go. I don’t think they like us here either.” Lia, almost shivering, hugged her staff as she looked at me with her deep green eyes.
“Alright…” It wasn’t every day that I got to see this kind of expression, but even though I wanted to continue looking at her, I nodded at her and looked at my party members.
“We will be moving now, everyone!” The shout alerted everyone.
If this is the territory of some dangerous being and we are intruding here, I do not want to stay here for much longer.
The draconic species never like it when someone gets anywhere near their houses, but they give them time to evacuate.
The pure species of nature also don’t directly harm anyone if they find intruders in their houses, but the same is not the case for the lesser-known species.
‘If what we are up against is something strong and territorial, the moment we take a wrong step, we will be facing them in their purest forms.’
If there are children with those creatures, then I know things will be even more complicated for all of us. And I don’t want to get into a situation from which I cannot escape even before getting into the forbidden forest of Kamut.
“Alright, captain. We are ready to move out!” The primary objective was to enter the forest, not to face the beings that were watching us. So, we prepared to move out…
And I think I made a good decision by doing that…

[At the same time, some distance away.]
“Oho~. Seems like they are going inside the great forest. How brave~!” A familiar voice for some, a strange one for the young one sitting in her lap.
“They, humans? Who?”
A child with eyes that resembled stars, small horns on his head, and an innocent face. Eon would have been surprised had he seen him with this person.
“They are human adventurers, little ones. The young man over there is the first prince of the empire your master is from and the rest of the people are his party members.
Don’t you think they are strong~?”
Her voice was pretty cheerful, and the way she was looking at the people standing far away as if they were right before them, made her seem more mysterious than her unique looks.
She was wearing a simple dress, she was so attractive that anyone looking at her would become a slave to her, and with the child in her lap, it almost seemed like she was a young mother.
However…
“Honey~. I’m back~.” Her partner who had just come back home from a different world would never see her the way other people might.
“Hmm?” Just seeing the child in her lap outside of their house, as well as strange people in the distance was a surprise to him.
“Who are they, Wali? And… who are you, little one?” Albert the great Elder Eternity was pretty surprised by the things he was seeing right now.
There were strange young people who seemed to be preparing to enter the forbidden forest, there was a child eternity in the lap of his partner, and his partner was happily watching over the humans instead of doing anything.
“Oh~! You’re back already~?” Wali got up from her place, placed the little one down on her chair, and ran towards the attractive man who had appeared there out of nowhere.
“Did you miss me that much, dear~?” Hugging her partner and kissing his cheeks, she pointed at the little one and introduced him enthusiastically.
“This is Magik. He wanted to go to his master but ended up here, hehe~. I found him fun so we have been playing while you were away~.”
The being that should have been in the capital of Roxanna was here for some reason, and the being that should have been working in order to maintain world balance was simply playing with him.
Albert had just come back after destroying a rebel force, but here she was, playing with a child and watching over foolish humans.
“I, Magik. Hello.” The shy child hid under his hood and even though Wali found the scene adorable, Albert did not have much reaction to it.
He was more focused on the adventurers that were going inside the great forest right now.
“Shouldn’t we stop them? I mean, the northern gate isn’t the best to enter the forest even though it might seem the easiest.” He recognized some of the faces in the group and knew instantly who these people were.
After knowing Eon, Albert had gained knowledge of this world and the important things that he needed to know so he knew about the first prince of Roxanna, as well as his adventures.
He knew how that young person had discovered a lot of lost sites, but even though he knew about their strengths, he could not help but believe entering the forbidden forest like that was a mistake.
“There’s no need to stop them.” Shaking her head at him with a smile on her face, she looked at his worried face with another fun smile.
“This is what’s supposed to happen.”
She said it too normally for it to sound impactful, but as someone who knew her and was familiar with her ways of work, he knew what she meant by those words.
He was instantly reminded of Eon at that moment as well… and seeing this young child with her simply made all the more sense to him now.
