The third group that was travelling with two of the trucks, was arguably one of the strongest groups of the three. Although Saiber had been made leader of this back up team, it was due to experience.
When one became a five star Altered hunter there were no other ranks above it. Which was why the actual strength between five star hunters varied quite a bit. It wasn’t as if they had some type of internal ranking either where hunters would go up against each other.
So even hunters didn’t quite know who the strongest were within the group. Other than those that had gone on tasks with each other.
In this case, in the third group there were two five star hunters, Trixie, as well as Kim. They were quite confident on their task as they continued to travel. Out of the three gardens they were heading to, theirs was the closest one to being central.
It was situated in a main city spot, large and overcrowded by quite a bit of traffic, and it was perhaps the reason as they got close Trixie had made the order for the trucks to pull over into a nearby petrol station.
The vehicles didn’t pull up but instead pulled over to the side, where many trucks were placed as their were quite a few that would use it as a pit stop for a quick nap or grabbing a bite to eat.
If it was another city maybe they would have been a large amount of them, but due to the way Ruin city was, they were the only trucks there. The motor bikes parked up, and Trixie had rounded the group up.
She was in a rush because she knew that so many motorcycles would attract attention, and staying in one place it wasn’t long before the police would be called.
“I want two hunters to stay here with the two trucks. Remember to use your communicators if they are in trouble. They should work just fine as we are only within one mile of the actual Garden.” Trixie said. She wasn’t discussing she was informing them as she looked at the two hunters.
Kai was glad that he wasn’t picked to stay behind, because he knew the package wasn’t with him, and he wanted to do some investigating into the situation on his own. As he was thinking this he had his hand on his chin, and was looking around, inspecting the area around them.
Trying to see if there was anything, and even started to sniff the air slightly, before he felt a kick on his shin.
“What are you doing?” Kim said as she took her feet back.
Pain was shooting up Kai’s body. It looked like a small kick but it was a heavy one, and even with him being what he was, it somehow had hurt quite a bit.
“Are you trying to act more like a dog so these people realise what you really are, pay attention and follow the way things are going.” Kim demanded.
The entire time, Kim had been almost frustrated with Kai. The entire way on the motorcycle and a few more times. When Kai was on the back, he had even felt her accelerating and slowing down. Almost as if she was trying to fling him off.
‘It seems I have ended up hanging around with the most annoying person, in the end.’ Kai said.
“I want to scout out the area before we head there.” Trixie said. “I have been doing some research on the garden that has been given to us. It’s covered by four hotels, north, south, west and east.
“Due to it being in a urban developed area, the hotels are perfectly placed for people to go to and from the hotels to the Garden, and it’s also the perfect place for an ambush as well. I don’t want anyone to die who doesn’t have to.” Trixie explained.
It was reasonable and from her actions so far, Kai could tell she was the type of leader who cared about those she was leading and treated every decision and action as her own. He knew this because he was somewhat the same way.
“Honestly, Although our missions is meant to be a secret one, things don’t always go to plan, and if I was the Lupus gang that’s what I would do to strike, but there’s a problem does anyone know what that problem is?”
The way Trixie spoke, it was as if she was speaking to a class filled with kids. Maybe to some it would seem patronising, but Kai knew as well it was a good way to get them to critically think about the situation that they were in.
In the end since no one had answered Kai had decided to.
“Even though it’s late hotels are practically 24 hours, staff people moving in and out. If we enter like this, we’re going to be kicked out, or alert the enemy that were here.”
Trixie smiled as she was pleasantly surprised by the answer.
“Correct. So, we’re going to change our clothing a little here before proceeding and we can’t enter as a large group. We’re going to head in, three at a time.”
Trixie started to pair off the Altered hunters in three’s and she gave them orders, of when to act, which areas to look in to see if anything was set up, and what to do. Kai the entire time was just begging that he didn’t get paired up with Kim otherwise he was worried he would end up biting her head off.
It was the sensible choice, since the two of them were meant to know each other.
“Blondie, your with me.” Trixie said.
