The Primordial Beast of Sloth was readily wasting time and lazing about as all the mutated monsters around it have already charged towards the ones that dared to come to its territory. The Primordial Beast of Sloth did not even care about the beings that came into its territory as it already knew the future. The only problem is that the future is not as solid as the Primordial Beast of Sloth thinks.
Even for the Daemos, the literal demons that could manipulate time, the future is never set in stone. Various factors could change it such as the appearance of beings that do not have a predestined path in life like the blessed ones or players. The Primordial Beast of Sloth did not know that it took a glimpse of a future where players did not even bother to go against it.
The ability to get glimpses or fragments of the future is a result of the mind of the Primordial Beast of Sloth’s slipping away into the dreamscape. The dreamscape is a special place in between the waking world and the dreaming world. It is like the limbo between the two and sometimes visions of what is to come or what has happened will enter those that enter this place when they are sleeping.
The visions of the future that the Primordial Beast of Sloth glimpsed are nothing more than visions from the dreams of the primordial beasts of sin. What the Primordial Beast of Sloth know as future visions are merely dream fragments. This ability came to be as the Primordial Beast of Sloth was the one amongst them that tend to use vessels even back then.
Primordial Beasts do not need to sleep as they get energy from the world itself. The Primordial Beast of Sloth always created a human vessel for itself, and this human vessel awakened the ability to enter the special dreamscape. The visions of a glorious future became clearer because all the Primordial Beasts of Sin had human vessels. Even if they deny it, the human vessels have influenced the Primordial Beasts of Sin to a great degree.
The Primordial Beasts of Sin has gained the ability to sleep and dream which amplified the special dreamscape. The God of Dreams always said that dreams are visions of what you want to achieve, and all of the Primordial Beasts of Sin want to achieve total freedom and ultimate power. This led to the Primordial Beast of Sloth getting visions of all Primordial Beasts of Sin becoming the most powerful in the world.
The Primordial Beast of Sloth did not know this though as it always viewed its ability to actually be something akin to future sight, but that kind of gift always comes at a cost. Peering into the future is not something that one can use just by sleeping. Future Sight is an ability that drains the life force of anyone that uses it knowingly and it takes a heavier toll even for primordial beasts.
The Primordial Beast of Sloth believed that these trespassers would die from the beast horde as it saw a vision of it becoming the ruler of the world. The Primordial Beast of Sloth wanted to believe such a thing, but it suddenly felt all of the mutated monsters in its vicinity vanish without a trace. The Primordial Beast of Sloth suddenly felt the presence of two powerful demons but the thing that truly made it active are the powerful mana signatures that appeared in the sky.
“Sloth! I thought you said that we do not need to mind them! All of my minions were killed! What is that blood curdling energy!” The Primordial Beast of Envy stated via their connection.
The train of thought of the Primordial Beast of Envy was replaced with unease as it also felt the presence of numerous mana signatures coming from the sky. Not only that but also the fact that each of them has this eerie energy signature that tells their instincts to run away as far as possible. The two primordial beasts had no choice but to come out of their hiding spots as they can no longer absorb Sin Energy as they pleased because they are being attacked.
The Primordial Beast of Sloth emerged slowly as it finally revealed itself to be the extremely large hill or round mountain if that is what others prefer. The Primordial Beast of Sloth is a monster that is a turtle with the shell of a snail. This is the Sleepy Mode form of the Primordial Beast of Sloth.
The Primordial Beast of Envy on the other hand also appeared and the entire mountain that Elder Ascalor pointed to finally moved as well. When the mountain moved, the visage of a large three headed and three tailed snake finally came into view. The sheer size of the Primordial Beast of Envy made some of those that are afraid of snakes suddenly faint.
The Primordial Beast of Sloth and the Primordial Beast of Envy might have awakened but they were already too late in reacting. Numerous meteors were already summoned by the twenty Grand Mages. Each of these meteors were enchanted to the maximum extent possible and also with nether energy. An energy that even the gods themselves fear as it could be used to erase their very existence.
“Just to make sure.” Adrian stated and he also signaled to the other Daemos Elders and the Greater Demons that are around to support them.
“Gravity!” All four Arch Demons with the aide of the greater demons increased the gravity affecting the Primordial Beast of Sloth and the Primordial Beast of Envy.
The two primordial beasts could not move as their bodies suddenly sunk deeper onto the ground while a powerful force is pressing above them. To make matters even worse for the Primordial Beast of Sloth and Primordial Beast of Envy, the increased gravity actually accelerated the meteors raining down on them. It did not take long for both the Primordial Beast of Sloth and Primordial Beast of Envy to be showered by meteors.
