Chapter 2528: Accursed Bathory

The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory literally became a weaver of not just bodies but also souls of those she tormented. All of the beings that is currently in her body right now are those that were tortured by her and sacrificed for her leisure activities. She always did not like that her enjoyment becomes less when the toy dies which is why she thought that she could use her abilities to weave the souls back into their bodies.

At first, the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory was unsuccessful in her attempts but her twisted desires and wishes manifested into reality. It manifested into reality, but it was not something that even she expected as there was an everlasting consequence. She was able weave back the souls of the dead to their bodies, but this also meant that she got a heavier price for doing so.

Any being that unlawfully bounds souls would get punished by gods of death in one form or another. The punishment for the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory was that she would hunger for dead bodies. She would crave the rotting flesh of a corpse, and these corpses would then be integrated to her body. The original curse placed upon her by the vampire council got stronger as a result, but she also gained immense strength.

The gods of death cannot directly intervene in the affairs of the mortal world, or they would risk the collapse of the living realm. This is also the reason why there are a lot of cursed items in the afterlife as the gods of death often use it to curse those that commit the taboo if they find one. The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory did not care though as she treated her new form as a form of ascension.

The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory even believed that her current form is only temporary and that it will soon go away once she devours more and more. She did not know that the curse of the gods of death is subtle and difficult to trace. They are beings that discreetly take the souls of the dead which is why their movements are rarely monitored.

“She was already ugly before, but she is even uglier now. I did not think that such a thing was possible.” Lycan stated which the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory heard.

“Ugly?! You are the ugly one mangy mutt! You are nothing but a flea bag that carries rabies! Die!” The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory shouted as she released numerous blood threads that sliced in every direction.

Solstice had to recover whatever blood she could and fashion it into a shield that can at least tank initial hits. Lycan utilized his speed to try and dodge but the crimson threads were much faster and stronger than before. Fortunately for them, the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory attacked in a spontaneous way which meant that she had no direction.

The crimson threads flailed widely without any sense of direction because the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory could not control her current form. This was the first time that she uses this form in combat. Even the numerous mouths of the corpses would spit out crimson threads which attack the Solstice and Lycan or at least tried to attack them.

Despite the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory literally mindlessly rampaging, the two could not get close to the enemy. The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory made it difficult to even get near within a five-meter distance from her as the blood threads become more lethal with the distance. The closer one gets to the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory then the sharper the created crimson thread. The literal choir of screams from her body did not help in making it get close also.

The dead bodies with their souls woven across them would try and claw their way out. The dead bodies would reach out to try and grab you if one gets the idea of getting close. All of them wanted help but they are difficult to rescue because they pull anyone into danger rather than help. In the end, the two could barely do any damage to the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory.

“This is getting nowhere, babe.” Lycan stated as his body could be seen to be bleeding all over.

“Thanks for the ammunition, baby.” Solstice stated as she immediately controlled the blood that flowed out from Lycan’s wounds.

Werewolf blood is something that is also poisonous to vampires if taken in higher doses. Even the elders did not know why but it must have been done because they are from the same ancestor. If they started devouring each other then one side will definitely be wiped out if psychotic vampires or werewolves are created. Just like the situation with the Crazed Blood Queens since they were only sealed with the help of beings that they cannot drink blood from which is vampires and vampire hunters.

“Blood Familiars!” Solstice chanted as all the drops of blood from Lycan were molded into blood wolves that charged towards the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory.

The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory did not care for the blood wolves as she was busy rampaging blindly. She was no longer in full control, but he is definitely dangerous as her attacks are shaking the foundations of the pocket dimension. Solstice even deduced that the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory might be able to destroy the pocket dimension if given the time and energy.

The blood wolves were more intelligent compared to the blood swords that Solstice creates. It felt like they had their own intelligence as if they had life. The reason for this is the fact that blood is like a genetic marker and Solstice amplified that. It is more accurate to say that the blood wolves are actually blood werewolves that take on the form of wolves.

The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory managed to destroy some of these blood wolves, but she was unable to defend against some of them. The blood wolves that are able to escape the fate of being disintegrated have managed to bite into the body of the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory. As soon as a point of contact and injury is made, the blood wolves would then dissolve into blood mist that enters the body using the injury.

“What is this putrid blood inside of me!” The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory shouted as she felt disgusted by something that entered her.

The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory started to scratch her body in all parts as the poisonous blood that entered her blood stream made her unable to stay still. Not that she was not demolishing and destroying the area around her already, but the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory could not stop herself from scratching her body. She scratches her body using all eight of her additional arms until she actually bled herself.

It is not just the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory that scratched immensely as even the dead bodies did as well. The dead bodies devoured by the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory are all linked to her mind, and they feed on the mental commands of their host body. Anything that the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory thinks of while in this hideous form will also be done by the corpses.

“This is our chance.” Solstice whispered as both her and Lycan charged forward.

The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory noticed that the two were now heading towards her in great speeds but the irritation of having to scratch could not be easily let go. It came to the point that the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory actually ripped apart her own skin and then expelled the poisoned blood that directly entered her system.

Solstice and Lycan did not expect this level of insanity against the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory, but they never expected her true form either. The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory, now free from the urge to itch as she basically ripped out her skin, turned towards Lycan first as she knew that he would be dangerous for her.

The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory tilted her head and then proceeded to use six of her sharp spider-like legs against Lycan. Feeling the intense bloodlust against him, Lycan immediately tried to stop himself, but her speed would be difficult to slow down. If he changes direction, then he would crash towards the wall. If he crashes to the wall, then he would be an easier target to get skewered by the sharp spider legs.

Lycan decided to take the attack head on as he howled to give himself a boost. A crimson aura covered Lycan’s body as he fully turned into a bipedal wolf. The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory matched Lycan’s ferocity by using mana to strengthen her legs. The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory’s legs clashed with Lycan or at least that would have happened if Solstice did not intervene.

Solstice suddenly wrapped herself in her own golden armor and tanked the hit for Lycan. The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory’s legs pierced Solstice’ armor and body but it also trapped them in the process. Solstice gritted her teeth and shouted for Lycan to attack.
