Chapter 2529: Accursed Bathory II

Lycan wanted to check on Solstice, but he knew that she would have nagged him if he let this chance slip away. He also knew that Solstice is not some weak damsel in distress that he needs to check up every now and again. Lycan no longer hesitated as he pushed every fiber of his being to the maximum.

“Feral Night Hunt!” Lycan shouted as his bloodlust peaked.

Lycan propelled himself using the arms of the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory as a foothold and shot towards the enemy. The screams of the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory filled the air as her body suddenly received numerous heavy slashes that dug deep. Even her spider-like body got sliced up to bits and pieces and the wails of the dead bodies that she absorbed added to the abhorrent sound. Lycan then appeared a few meters away from the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory and returned back to his human form.

This also included the arms that she possessed which meant that Solstice was finally able to let go. “Argh!” Solstice grunted as she needed to focus on healing the large hole on her stomach.

“Are you okay?!” Lycan shouted as he immediately rushed to aid Solstice.

“I am fine. I just need a little rest.” Solstice stated but she felt that they forgotten about a small important detail.

“She is not yet dead!” Solstice shouted as she tried to stand but the pain on her stomach was too much that she immediately fell down again.

The Crazed Blood Queen Bathory or rather parts of her started to rampage. The head of the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory and the other heads of the dead bodies of her victims suddenly rose up. All of them released hundreds of crimson threads from their mouths as they attempted to kill both Lycan and Solstice. Lycan knew that he made a mistake as he did not secure the body before checking in on Solstice.

Lycan immediately grabbed Solstice and hugged her tightly to protect her from the incoming attack. He believed that his own body should be sturdy enough to at least save Solstice. He believed that his sacrifice would give Solstice a chance to kill the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory. Lycan waited for his death, but he did not feel any pain surge through his body.

“Tsk tsk. It is not of character of you to be very clumsy, sister. You always go for the kill and make sure that they are dead.” Adrian’s voice emerged as Lycan and Solstice looked towards the direction of his voice.

Lycan and Solstice suddenly saw the numerous crimson threads have been suspended in the air. Their eyes wandered to look for Adrian and he could be seen fused with Kenos. All eight insect arms could be seen holding onto the head of the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory. Adrian stopped the operations of the head of the enemy and the others froze in response.

“It seems that someone tampered with souls of the dead. She even managed to seal the souls of the dead on their own corpses. They are dead but not classified as undead which means that this is defiling of life. Someone is going to have a field day with you.” Adrian stated as he burned the head of the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory using nether flames.

The head of the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory burned in nether flames and emitted a shriek of intense pain that is unlike any other. Even the other heads screamed with her as they are connected but Adrian made sure to only affect the head of the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory. The screams of the victims soon turned into tears of solace.

Adrian suddenly vanished as soon as the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory was truly killed. He left a message to Lycan and Solstice that he needed to do something for a moment.
