In that room where the Monkey D. family was at that table keeping narrow gazes while one stared at the other after Lucy’s speech.

“Well, now that we are a family gathered here, we can start business,” Luffy broke the silence at that moment, with Lucy being the only one who seemed calmer among them and oblivious to the certain tension involved in that room.

“These businesses already make me wary coming from you, Luffy…” Garp muttered with a suspicious look.

For now, Dragon remained silent, with a serious look. Lucy still seemed to wear a smile on her face, observing them.

“Well, let’s start with the attack that the government launched among us. Here are reports of all their forces, structures, the agents, the soldiers, the Holy Knights, the Seraphim, the Pacifistas, and the Androids that we still managed to defeat despite coming out of a fight against two Yonkous…” Luffy began, handing over a paper with all the details he had about the forces that had attacked.

Obviously, he started to collect the bodies of the machines and hand them over to his scientists for study, passing on all the information they could gather. They might not have Vegapunk, but certainly, with Caesar Clown, Shiki’s scientist, and even Queen, along with other scientists who could help him, even Reiju’s family, like her father, they worked to see the entire structure of the bodies and powers.

He could even make copies of that, but it wasn’t really his style to create machines in his army, and he wasn’t interested in building such a force, preferring something more organic and human.

Each of them received copies of the papers with the data while flipping through them, checking them.

Of course, only Dragon and Garp looked at it carefully, reading the reports, while Lucy looked at the little figures, finding amusing the body structures of the machines that the World Government had created.

“Here is also all the information we have about the weapon that tried to destroy Lulusia,” a new paper was delivered with information.

Once again analyzing the papers, this time the two older men had a slightly somber look upon seeing that.

“So they have one of the three ancient weapons and can now use it thanks to this device created by Vegapunk,” Dragon did not fail to murmur, frowning, upon knowing that the World Government had such power in its hands, which was extremely dangerous.

“Yes… they are powering one of the three ancient weapons with the Mother Flame…” Luffy explained.

Garp also had a serious look. The information clearly did not please him at all, and knowing that the government simply planned to destroy a kingdom and even accuse Luffy of the disappearance of Lulusia.

“As you can see, we have a big problem in this world, which is the World Government,” Luffy said, not trying to convince his father, since he also had the same view of that monster.

His gaze returned to Garp, and even Lucy was a bit angry, knowing well what that attack meant even without being able to read properly what was on the papers. Because Luffy had already talked about what happened and how Sabo was almost killed, after all, he didn’t have a logia fruit that could have given him a chance to survive the attack.

“Those bastards… they would really let an entire kingdom be destroyed,” she murmured.

“You were in Mary Geoise, grandpa, and clearly felt the number of slaves who were under the city, working tirelessly, not to mention those who were used as entertainment inside the properties of the Tenryuubitos. You could see the suffering of all of them. That’s why you decided to leave the Marines, you now know that the World Government is increasingly taking control of the Marines and Akainu is helping with that,” Luffy spoke directly to Garp.

The former Marine hero stood there in silence for a few seconds.

“You want to convince me to join you to destroy the World Government?” he said in a serious tone, without revealing whether he wanted that or not.

“Not necessarily. I want you to gather all the people who still have faith in the justice of the Marines and in its concept, regardless of the organization above it or any other. To create a force on the seas, a new force that would aim for justice above anything or anyone…” Luffy said.

“Is that why you invited all of us here?” Garp asked the obvious.

“Yes. And Lucy will work with you,” he said.

“I’m going to work with grandpa?” she asked, smiling and looking at him, while Garp raised an eyebrow at her.

“Don’t worry. You know that the path she always wanted to choose was to bring justice and freedom to the people who need those concepts. I can’t leave her with a pirate forever, grandpa. That’s why I’m placing her in the new organization that will emerge.”

Garp nodded but said nothing.

“But we’ll talk about that later. Anyway, Lucy won’t be with you yet. First, I’m going to reach the last island of the Grand Line.”

“Laugh Tale…” Garp murmured, while even Dragon had a sharper look at his son.

“I intend to find the One Piece, and no one is going to stop us. We only have one red Poneglyph, but I already know where two of them are. We’ll stop at Egghead, then go to Elbaf to look for the last red one, and then we’ll set out,” Luffy said in a serious tone.

“After decades, a new Pirate King will emerge, and it’s going to be my grandson…” Garp murmured, still with some distaste.

“Actually, that’s inevitable, grandpa. The world is already heading into total chaos, and everything will be revealed when we reach Laugh Tale, where the history of the Void Century will be revealed to the world.”

“I don’t know exactly what I’ll find there, but it will certainly be something necessary to save the world, as it moves toward its destruction. Someone has to stop it. But only at Laugh Tale will we know how we can stop it. Clearly, the World Government is hiding a lot.” Luffy said without feeling offended by his grandfather’s distaste.

“What do you mean by the destruction of the world?” Dragon murmured.

“Think about the structure of this world, father. I don’t have detailed information about it, but Vegapunk is working to share it with the whole world soon, and he will soon become an enemy of the World Government. We’ll have to go rescue him. But he will release information that the government has been hiding for hundreds of years.”

“It is believed that the world underwent a great flood and entire continents disappeared during the Void Century, creating the structure we know today as islands, while the Holy City and the headquarters of the World Government are at the highest point in the world. The government managed to hide this and change history as we know it today…”

“Don’t you find it strange that they wear astronaut helmets? They look more like diving suits. If they were expecting the end of the world to come at any moment, they would certainly be better protected than any other civilization,” Luffy said. He wasn’t very sure about that, after all, he didn’t have many details, but they were his theories.

Even so, his father and grandfather were thoughtful about it.

“You said Vegapunk will inform the world about this soon?” Dragon spoke with interest.

“Exactly. But that will be a conversation for another time. For now, I just want to settle a few things with you.”

“Even though we are following different paths from each other, or others according to the same objective, we are still people who share the same blood and are a varied family of the D. clan, just like many others who are in my territory and others outside of it. But here we are a family above all, just like my children and my wives are to me, and I don’t want any of you to die,” Luffy said, and almost everyone felt the same, also not wishing that for each other.

“I want to create an alliance. When the world war breaks out, whether it be the revolutionaries, whatever becomes the new navy outside the government’s control, or even all the pirates and our allies, I want everyone to work together to free this world from the shackles of the World Government,” he spoke in a more serious tone than he had ever spoken before.

“And what do you intend to do to reshape the world afterward, Luffy? Without a hierarchical force like the World Government, do you intend to rule the world?” Garp asked with a serious look.

He had no idea what the damned grandson really wanted, and that worried him, no matter how naturally he would never let Luffy die and would do everything to save him from any danger he entered. He still didn’t want Luffy to become a dictator in place of what we know today as the World Government.

“No. I don’t want to rule the world. Maybe it’s a mistake to place another supreme power over the world. What I want is to prevent any destruction the world might suffer and destroy the central point that is enslaving the world as a whole. I wish for all the kingdoms and countries to create their own autonomy to decide what is best for them. I want the freedom of this world,” Luffy said, surprising everyone there.

“Freedom…” Lucy murmured. The word always enchanted her for some reason.

“That sounds very good, son,” Dragon nodded at that, as it was indeed what he sought.

“Giving autonomy to all the kingdoms and removing a central power that controls the world sounds good, but there are some problems,” Garp commented.

“We can create a council among all the kingdoms of the world to finance essential services, like the Navy itself, which will control the seas with universal laws for all kingdoms that seek justice and freedom. Don’t you think that’s reasonable, Grandpa?” Luffy said, while Garp nodded.

“And what about you? What will you seek with all this?” Garp still narrowed his eyes at Luffy.

“Obviously…” Luffy opened an arrogant smile. “The seas will be mine, for I will be the emperor of all the seas and live with my own freedom,” Luffy said, just before a fist lunged toward him, dodging at the last second from a huge fist covered in haki.

“Damned brat! How could I even think for a moment that you would change! You still want to be a damned pirate!” Garp growled.

“Grandpa, I never said I would stop being a pirate. No, I won’t just be a pirate, I’ll be an emperor! What do you think?” Luffy said before Garp tried to hit him again, leaping back from the chair as Garp quickly lunged at him.

“You damned outlaw, wretched brat! Come here, and I’ll use my fists of love to make you into someone who follows the law, you hear?” yelled the grandfather while trying to land punches, with Luffy dodging the haki-coated blows that would certainly have been deadly.

“Impossible for you to do that, Grandpa! I will always be a pirate!” he replied, continuing to dodge the attacks, while Dragon raised an eyebrow and Lucy was horrified.

“Wait a minute! I know that attitude, Grandpa! You’re trying to kill my brother!” she exclaimed, while outside the castle they could hear explosions erupting, even scaring the people of Skypiea, who were asking what was happening on that side of the Upper Yard island, along with the inhabitants of Upper Yard who still lived there.

Garp only stopped after a while, having destroyed the golden walls of the castle.

“Damned brat…” Garp muttered.

“Enough of that, Grandpa… let’s continue the conversation,” Luffy said, walking past Garp, who was frustrated.

“Now let’s talk about the one who is sitting on the empty throne in Mary Geoise, known as far as I know, as Imu, the king of the world…” Luffy spoke seriously, capturing all their attention once again.

He had never discussed this with anyone, not even his crew, but now he was opening this conversation for the first time with his family. Maybe it was time for the Monkey D. family to decide what was best for this world.
