"Talk.*
Looking at the confused little rogue in front of him, Fang Mo cheerfully urged, "Say it, quickly... Thank you, Dogzi."
"I... I..."
However, the little rogue still seemed very nervous. She glanced down at the bald strongman who had fallen unconscious and anxiously tried to explain, "I really didn't mean to, I just..."
"Mmm, mmm, I understand."
Before she could finish her sentence, Fang Mo interrupted her with a smile, "It's the mutant ability, nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone is like this when they first awaken. You'll get used to it."
"I don't even know what's happening. Whenever someone touches me, I just... huh?"
The little rogue was still explaining, but suddenly she paused, looking at Fang Mo with a bit of confusion.
"You..."
After hesitating for a moment, she couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you afraid of me?""Hey, hey, shouldn't I be asking you that?"
Fang Mo almost burst out laughing at this, spreading his hands towards her, "Girl, don't you want to take a look around and see what the situation is?"
"Hmm?"
Hearing this, the little rogue was puzzled, and then turned to look around.
This is not a world of peace. Ordinary people here seem to have something missing in their brains, and their attitude towards super powered individuals, or mutants, is quite hostile. More than ninety percent of ordinary people are very antagonistic towards mutants due to fear of their abilities.
And after Fang Mo's recent commotion, the onlookers wished they had more legs to run away faster. The once lively underground arena was now deserted in the blink of an eye.
"This..."
Seeing the surroundings empty, the little rogue was stunned for a moment.
Just then, Fang Mo's voice reached her ears.
"So, girl," Fang Mo said with a smile not far away, "aren't you afraid of me?"
"I..."
Seeing this scene, the little rogue realized the situation. Indeed, the person who tore open the iron cage and made a hole in the ceiling was more like a monster than herself.
Just as she was thinking this, she noticed out of the corner of her eye a figure silently approaching Fang Mo from behind, raising something that looked like a fire poker aimed at him.
A chilling aura emanated from the dark muzzle.
The little rogue felt a shiver down her spine, realizing that it might be a gun.
"Watch out!"
Without time to think, she shouted urgently.
"Huh?"
Hearing this, Fang Mo turned his head, only to see the man opposite him snarling, "Mutant, go to hell."
After saying this, he immediately pulled the trigger.
With a bang, Fang Mo was shot and fell backward rapidly, causing the little rogue to scream in fright.
But in the next second, Fang Mo's body did not fall heavily as expected.
After a few moments of leaning back, Fang Mo silently stood back up straight.
"What!?"
The man opposite was incredulous, "This... this is impossible!!!"
Not only him, but even the little rogue, who had been screaming, covered her mouth in disbelief at the scene before her.
"Well, well, you little brat."
After standing back up, Fang Mo looked at the man opposite him.
At this moment, there was a black bullet hole in the center of Fang Mo's forehead, but instead of being angry, he smiled, "Daring to assassinate the President of the United States, what, you also want to go down in history?"
"You... why..."
The man was terrified, unable to comprehend how someone could survive a headshot.
"WTF?"
Even Wolverine Logan, who witnessed the whole thing, was stunned. He wasn't afraid of bullets, but how could this guy named Wade not be afraid either?
Probably because Logan had been staring at him, Fang Mo suddenly slapped his own head.
"Sorry, wrong scene."
Fang Mo seemed to remember something, pressing both hands on the hole in his forehead and mimicking a pulling motion, "Alright, now it's fine."
With Fang Mo's action, the bullet hole on his forehead instantly disappeared, replaced by two circular holes in his hands as if something had pierced through them.
"..."
This sudden scene left everyone dumbfounded.
Before the man could react, Fang Mo had already placed a hand on his shoulder, "Buddy, let me ask you something... Do you believe in Jesus?"
"I…"
The man was also a bit confused at this moment and instinctively said, "I don't believe in Jesus."
"Why?" Fang Mo asked curiously.
"Because I once prayed to Jesus, hoping he would bless me with great wealth. But in the end, I still had nothing. My wife left me because of poverty, and I ended up in this godforsaken place running an underground boxing ring," the man said.
"Hey, buddy, you're praying the wrong way," Fang Mo suddenly said, spreading his hands. "How can I help you get rich when you pray to me like that?"
"So what should I do?" the man asked.
"You should kill, commit arson, sell drugs, seize territories, and form gangs. Make sure the bodies of those who offend you are encased in concrete and sunk in the sea the next day. You need to force good people into prostitution, commit heinous acts, exterminate entire groups to seize their resources, and kill anyone who crosses you. Then claim it's for their own good," Fang Mo said seriously.
"…"
The man was stunned after hearing this. "Are you serious? But what does this have to do with praying to Jesus?"
"But you can pray for the Lord to forgive your sins," Fang Mo said, spreading his hands.
"… You must be a devil." The man looked at Fang Mo in shock.
"Curse you, heretic! How dare you not believe in my identity as Jesus!" Fang Mo was immediately displeased upon hearing this. Before the other party could react, he stepped forward and shouted, "Fist of Heaven!"
With a loud bang, the man flew out like a kite with a broken string.
"All done."
After punching the man away, Fang Mo turned to look at Rogue. "See, we mutants are this awesome."
"Whew…"
Rogue finally breathed a sigh of relief.
But before she could say anything, Logan's voice came from the other side, "No, I don't think mutants are as awesome as you."
"Thanks for the compliment," Fang Mo said cheerfully.
"Do you think I was complimenting you?" Logan said with a bit of a headache. He then looked around at the chaos and sighed, "…Forget it, let's leave here first. I have a car, we can talk more once we're in."
"Oh, that's fine," Fang Mo nodded nonchalantly. "Let's go then."
Logan didn't reply but turned and walked out. Fang Mo naturally followed him.
Rogue hesitated for a moment as she watched the two leaving. Just then, she heard a whimpering sound and felt something tugging at her pants leg.
Looking down, Rogue saw the dog from earlier. Although it looked weak, it was pulling at her pants leg, clearly trying to lead her forward.
"…"
Encouraged by this, Rogue finally made up her mind. She gritted her teeth and chased after the two.
The rundown building wasn't large.
Soon, they returned to the cold wilderness outside.
The sun had completely set by now, and without its warmth, the temperature had dropped significantly. The dog shivered as its paws touched the snow, looking even more pitiful.
Seeing this, Rogue paused for a moment before taking off her scarf and covering the dog with it.
"Woof…"
The dog was startled at first, but after realizing it was just a scarf, it seemed a bit surprised and looked up at her.
Rogue didn't say anything. She just pursed her lips and quickened her pace to catch up.
Logan's car was parked in an abandoned clearing at a nearby lumberyard. By the time Rogue and the dog arrived, Logan had already started the engine.
It was a modified old RV, seemingly converted from a truck or pickup. The front had the driver and passenger seats, and the back was a living area with a simple bed, some clotheslines, and most importantly, a gas stove connected to a gas tank for cooking and heating.
It looked somewhat dangerous, but Logan wasn't afraid because he couldn't die.
Soon, the three people and the dog were all in the car, though Rogue and the dog were settled in the back due to limited space. She sat somewhat nervously on the bed.
"Why did you bring her too?" Logan asked, frowning as he looked at her through the rearview mirror while driving.
"I was afraid you'd be lonely, Uncle Wolf."
Fang Mo sat in the front passenger seat, his legs naturally resting on the dashboard, and said without any reservations, "Haven't you heard that song? As the saying goes, Cold in California..."
"?!"
The mischievous one in the backseat was suddenly startled by these words.
"Wade!" Logan clearly sensed the youngster's tension. Despite his amnesia, his inherently kind nature showed through. He immediately said, somewhat angrily, "She's just a child! At least consider the minor protection laws!"
"..."
Fang Mo fell silent for a moment, then softly said, "I'm not afraid."
"Get out of the car..."
"Oh, come on, why are you getting worked up? I'm just messing with you."
Seeing Logan's displeasure, Fang Mo quickly backed down. "Alright, alright, I won't say it anymore. Actually, I'm already married, so I have no interest in other women now."
"She'd better be an adult."
Logan said coldly.
"Ahem, don't worry, at least she was an adult in her previous life," Fang Mo said, clearing his throat.
"What do you mean by that..."
"Alright, alright, let's change the subject."
Before Logan could finish speaking, Fang Mo changed the topic. "Anyway, I was quite surprised to find you this time. Do you really not remember what happened before?"
"What do you think?"
Logan glanced at Fang Mo and asked back.
"It seems like you've really lost your memory," Fang Mo said, stroking his chin as he pondered how to make Logan believe him. "Oh... by the way, do you have a cigar that never runs out?"
"A cigar that never runs out?"
To Fang Mo's surprise, Logan glanced at him unexpectedly. "Is there really such a wonderful thing in the world?"
"That was a gift I gave you back then."
Fang Mo instantly facepalmed. "Alright, you lost it, didn't you?"
"I don't know."
Logan shook his head and said, "After I woke up, I only had this identity tag on me. As for what you mentioned... I haven't seen it."
"Alright, I think I understand now."
Hearing this, Fang Mo instinctively rubbed his temples, recalling the prequel to the X-Men series, specifically the Wolverine storyline. It explained why Logan had adamantium implanted in his body and why he suffered from amnesia.
But honestly speaking, the timeline of the X-Men movie universe is very chaotic.
As of now, many domestic fans still argue over these timelines.
The origin of everything comes from "X-Men: First Class," which was the time point when Fang Mo first crossed into the X-Men world. Auschwitz had just been liberated, and Sebastian Shaw, the Black King, wanted to use the hatred between the U.S. and the Soviet Union to trigger a world war, accelerating the evolution of mutants through nuclear warfare.
After that, the X-Men world split into two timelines.
This was caused by the plot of "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
This movie tells the story of humans developing Sentinel robots to capture mutants in the future. However, the robots went out of control and destroyed the Earth. The last surviving mutants managed to send Wolverine's consciousness back in time to prevent the development of the Sentinels.
According to the normal timeline sequence, after "First Class" should be the original "Wolverine," where Logan is transformed with adamantium, gets injured, loses his memory, and begins to wander. Next comes the X-Men trilogy, followed by "Days of Future Past," where the old timeline is destroyed, and the timeline resets after "First Class."
After that, it should be the Wolverine trilogy, "Apocalypse," "Dark Phoenix," and so on.
Setting other movie plots aside for now, Fang Mo focused on recalling the Wolverine series.
If he remembered correctly, Logan's inexplicable amnesia was largely due to a villain named Stryker.
This guy created an adamantium bullet to kill the out-of-control Logan. However, Logan's vitality was so strong that he survived, but the bullet pierced his adamantium skull and lodged in his brain.
"I see..."
Thinking of this, Fang Mo suddenly understood, "It's because of the bullet in your brain?"
"Bullet? What bullet?"
Logan, driving, heard Fang Mo muttering and asked offhandedly.
"Oh, there's something in your brain that Kennedy dreams of," Fang Mo said, pulling out a cleaver from his pants. "Let me get it out for you..."
"Hold on."
Logan frowned and turned to look at Fang Mo, his brows furrowed as he stared at the suspicious purple blade in Fang Mo's pants. "Even if I don't think you're lying, are you really going to use that thing for brain surgery? Do you think I'm going to let you chop sideways... or vertically split my head?"
"Vertically."
Fang Mo replied immediately.
"I'm not really asking you!"
Logan said, his face stern. If not for the familiarity he felt towards Fang Mo, he would've thrown him out of the car by now. "You better give me a good explanation..."
"Vertically."
But Fang Mo stubbornly repeated.
"I said I'm not really..."
Logan frowned, about to argue, but the next moment, the RV suddenly jolted as if it had hit something. Logan smashed through the windshield and flew out, crashing into the snow a great distance away.
Only when he flew out did Logan see that a large tree had fallen on the road, and the RV had crashed straight into it.
"I told you there was a tree!"
A second later, Fang Mo couldn't help but yell, "Couldn't you understand!?"
"You..."
Logan, hearing this, couldn't hold back any longer. He stood up immediately, but before he could rush back to the RV, he heard the sound of rapid footsteps approaching. Logan's expression changed.
The next moment, a tall figure lunged at him.
