“Bam!”

“Nat—!” Flora instinctively called his name but immediately stopped, remembering that they were disguising themselves. It wouldn’t be a good idea to reveal their information to the enemies.

At the same time, she was glaring at the man in the sky, not expecting such a man to come here. In fact, she felt the overwhelming ena coming out of his body, which made her wonder whether the enemy was one of the two grandmasters or not.

The moment she was distracted, Ricky had already turned around and slashed her from afar.

“Don’t get in my way!” Flora released a lightning bolt and neutralized his sword attack.

Meanwhile, Alan glanced at Flora and Ricky before saying, “Stop her. You can do that, right? I will be taking this guy on,” as he descended to the ground.

“Y-Yes, sir.” Ricky gritted his teeth. He had no other choice but to endure the pain for the time being. This was the only way for him to survive.

On the other hand, Nathan had already shot his bullets from the rubble.

Alan raised his hand and formed a small sphere on top of his palm. Then, the spheres turned into a giant shield, thick enough to withstand Nathan’s bullet.

Nathan couldn’t help but squint his eyes while emerging from the rubble. He muttered inwardly, ‘What is that? He is forming a small sphere like my bullet, but he is turning it into a different shape? Something like that?’

Nathan noticed the similarity between their abilities. However, their focus was entirely different. His bullets required Concentration and Speed to be useful. Meanwhile, his technique relied on Form and Enhancement.

“This guy is much more interesting.” Alan grinned. He charged forward without hesitation.

Nathan was wary of his familiars. After all, he would be at a massive disadvantage, as his familiars still focused on the remaining nine summoners.

Nathan wondered how much he should reveal in this battle. There was yet a clue that could expose his identity and the battle had yet to reach the level where they fought for their own survival.

Hence, Nathan had some leeway to hide his identity.

Nathan rushed forth as though he wanted to face Alan head-on.

Alan smirked. He formed another sphere on both of his palms that ultimately turned into a blade.

“!!!” Nathan was quite surprised that Alan would actually choose a blade made of ena. In the end, this kind of blade was much weaker compared to the real weapons, especially if they were made of good materials.

Still, there was no way Alan could reach this level if he didn’t know about this small fact.

Ultimately, Nathan halted his step and formed another cube on his right palm and a shield on his left hand.

Alan struck Nathan’s shield, albeit failed to cut it down. It only cracked the tip of the shield, unlike Ricky, even though Alan was clearly stronger.

As he expected, the difference between the ena blade and the real blade was similar to his ena bullets and the one coming directly from his pistol.

For Alan, he had to maintain that blade with 30% to 50% of his energy while using the rest to attack. As a result, the power itself was actually weaker than Ricky’s sword attack.

Once Nathan blocked his attack, Alan smirked.

“Watch out!” Flora warned him out loud.

Nathan could also feel the presence of three familiars appearing at the same time. There was an axe-wielding demon behind him, a dark cat person on his right, and a zombie holding a sword. Stay updated through My Virtual Library Empire

All of them were attacking him at the same time. However, Nathan knew that Alan’s real intention was to bait him to summon his familiars in order to stop his. Someone at Alan’s level should have four or five familiars under his command. So, it was weird to only summon three of them.

Nathan immediately placed the bullet he had maintained this whole time on the ground.

“!!!” All three familiars leaped back. The demon used his massive axe to protect himself from the blast, while the dark cat formed a shield with his ena. The zombie, on the other hand, struggled to withstand the explosion as it was launched away.

Boom!

Nathan’s expression turned dark. With such an explosion, he knew that a lot of people would realize there was a big battle soon.

Hence, after blowing up the ground underneath him, Nathan pointed his finger at Alan and released a cannon with his new discharge technique.

“!!!”

Alan widened his eyes as the beam swallowed him.

The demon and the dark cat, who managed to withstand Nathan’s explosion earlier, immediately headed straight to the exposed Nathan.

Nathan had formed another bullet on his other hand and split them to stop the two familiars.

Both of them had no other choice but to halt their steps, having a hard time approaching Nathan.

All of a sudden, the man, who was supposed to be swallowed by the beam, appeared on his left. After shooting those bullets, Nathan couldn’t immediately conjure another bullet or shield to stop him.

That was why Nathan was supposed to lose in this engagement.

Still, Nathan being Nathan, he actually divided his bullets into three earlier. Nathan had sent the third group into the air, and now they had reached their peak and were about to go down.

All that was left to do was Nathan throwing himself back to gain the bit of distance required to avoid that blade. Fortunately, the blade didn’t seem to be that long, so his physical strength alone should be enough… or so he thought.

However, the instinct he had honed after numerous battles suddenly kicked in, telling him to protect himself right away. His body moved on its own, grabbing his special coat and strengthening it.

To his surprise, even though he was supposed to get away, he suddenly felt the impact on his hand and coat as though the blade had reached him.

No. The blood suddenly rushed to the upper part of his body before spurting out of a wound on his shoulder that appeared out of nowhere.

“!!!”

“Nathan!”
