While fighting, Alexander and Arad learned one thing about the dimension they were sealed in. It wasn’t infinite; it was a locked space of around a few thousand kilometers wide, just large enough to have enough mass to suppress the god’s power and dissipate it.
That means this place wasn’t a full world and didn’t have a core that Arad could blow up. It was similar to the layers of Merlin’s labyrinth. He has to be careful since he can never take Alexander away from the armies fighting. The last thing Arad wants is to blow up his vampires by mistake. He could already feel Zia revving up and taking a massive step toward being a true vampire lord.
As the two armies clashed, Zia looked down at them from the peak of a mountain as she sat there, leisurely sharpening her claws. Going from nail to another, and from toe to the other, her long crimson cap flapped in the wind as the snow around her grew colder and the shadows turned darker.
Suddenly, a bright radiance fell from the sky as a four-winged angel got closer to her. “Such a poor place to hide in, fiend.” The angel pointed a radiant sword toward Zia.
Zia quickly inspected her hands, checking if her claws looked sharp enough. She then slowly lifted her blue eyes to glare at the angel. The divine woman was quite powerful, one of the strongest in Alexander’s army.
“I don’t like bulky women, their blood is too heavy. But, I’ll make an exception for a virgin angel.” She pointed a finger up, then lowered it to the snow. “That’s a nice boulder, strip and sit there. If you’re lucky, I’ll leave you with enough blood to walk away.”
The angel was silent for a second and then lifted her sword up, “Perish.” She dropped it down, and a divine smite the size of a building fell from the clouds, exploding right above Zia’s head.
“Died like words on the wind, to be forgotten.” The angel flapped her wings and was about to leave when Zia called her again from the smoke.
“I also hate the feisty ones.” Zia looked up and opened her red lips. Soon, she screamed so loudly that the angel’s ears ripped open and her eyes burst with blood.
The snow covering the mountain’s peak tumbled down in a massive avalanche, threatening to bury both armies fighting below.
The angel started falling, her blood boiling, and her vision blurry. “Monster, what did you do?” She quickly healed herself and looked where Zia was, finding that she had disappeared.
At that moment, the angel felt two hands hug her from behind. She tried to shake Zia off, but it was already too late; Zia’s fangs were deep into her neck.
The two fell down and crashed into the snow. They would’ve caused an avalanche if Zia’s scream hadn’t already caused one seconds earlier.
As the angel rolled on the cold stones, she reached up with her hand and touched her neck. Zia had disappeared, but she still lost a lot of blood. Enough to make her dizzy and make the tips of her fingers numb.
“Monster! Where are you hiding?” She roared, leaning on her sword with her body burning with divine magic.
“You really love complaining, don’t you?” Zia replied from behind the stones. She was there, melting the snow and washing her body with it. She was naked, the angel knew that, no matter how long she looked, Zia’s pearly lilith body looked as a blur to her.
The angel forced herself to run and jumped at Zia, thrusting her sword with all of her might.
The radiant sword passed right through Zia’s body without doing any damage, and the angel finally realised the problem.
Zia looked at her with a smug face, reaching forward and caressing her face. “You’re slow, but don’t worry, I don’t hate the slow ones.” She leaned to kiss her on the neck, but Zia’s body phased right through the angel’s body like a ghost, leaving her stunned.
“You monster! Get you off my blood!” The angel screamed, her eyes finally showing some emotions, fear, and terror. Zia didn’t go anywhere, she entered the angel’s body and mixed with her blood, which is why she could see her naked in the snow, she was already a part of her body.
The angel froze and smiled, Zia’s voice talking through her lips, “Be obedient and I’ll at least make your death quick.”
The angel growled, “Fuck off! You’ve walked into your own death, fiend!” She screamed, and her whole body flashed with divine magic. She was trying to burn Zia away from her blood. All vampires were weak to divine magic after all, and walking into the blood of an angel was like a human jumping into a pot of molten steel.
As the angel’s body burned, she slowly started to realise that Zia wasn’t harmed by the divine magic at all; in fact, she was consuming it whole and burning it like fire.
“What…are you…” The angel growled as her armor melted and rusted away, her skin blistering as purple sparks of plasma cut their way through her veins.
“A mere servant.” Zia burst out of the angel’s body through her mouth and left her burning like a candle. “I serve the goddess of murder, demi-goddess now, but I’ll be damned if I lose to the servants of a fallen god.”
The angel finally fell silent as her body turned into a black piece of charcoal, and Zia looked at her with a sad and worried face.
“Tough one.” She approached the burned corpse and looked at it for a long moment, then lifted her foot and kicked it. The angel didn’t react, but Zia could see what little blood remained still flowing inside.
Zia crouched beside the angel and looked at her, “You know what? I’ve got something more fun for you.” She leaned down and bit her neck. After a second of silence, a loud scream escaped the angel’s lungs.
Zia finally stopped sucking the angel’s blood and rested by her side, leaning her legs on the convulsing body and returned to sharpening her nails.
“Hurry up and turn, I need my own servants after all. What kind of vampire lord doesn’t have servants?”
