The dragon's harem

Chapter 1398 - 1398: He Got A Plan

“ISDIS!” Lucy shouted at the top of her lungs as she waved a hand at Isdis with a large smile on her face. She was just a little girl wearing a fancy silk robe that looked like a mix between a kimono and a Celtic tunic, decorated with countless golden ropes and ringing silver bells.

Bells were everywhere in her outfit, at the end of her long blond braids, on her wrists and ankles, even around her neck, all ringing with each of her moves like wind chimes.

Isdis looked back at her and smiled. It had been a long time since she last saw her little sister.

Lucy jumped forward and started running toward the keep’s entrance where Isdis was, but the moment her bare foot touched the ground, all half-fallen-angels puked blood, their ears ripped open, and their eyes burst with blood. Those who looked directly at her have fainted, and those who didn’t felt an inexplicable terror preventing them from turning in her direction.

Zarial was already out cold, and Gabriel could barely stand straight.

Before Lucy could take her second step, Kali was already standing beside her. She extended her tiny foot in Lucy’s path and tripped her.

As Lucy fell face first, Kali looked at her with a pout and growled, “Brat! Keep your divine magic in check. You’re hurting everyone.”

Lucy stood and glared at Kali. She then looked at Isdis, then at Gojo, Liliana, and Gug. “They are fine, I don’t care about anyone else.”

Kali grabbed her by the nose and pulled her closer, “Listen, you little shit! You’re causing problems for both Arad and Gojo, so you better behave.”

Lucy blinked a few times. “Causing problems for Gojo?” She looked at him, “Then I’m sorry, give me a second.”

She closed her eyes and started mumbling to herself, “They aren’t food, they look like chickens, but they can’t be eaten. They aren’t food! They aren’t food!”

Surpassing the demi-goddess status and ascending into godhood was particularly easy for Lucy. All she had to do was eat, and eat even more. The more she ate, the stronger she got, and the more excessive her avarice burned, the purer her divine magic became.

Unlike Murder or Greed, being a glutton wasn’t that much of a problem. Lucy had found herself force-feeding for a while, and with each bite, it got easier and easier.

The problem with such rapid growth is that she can’t control her divine magic nearly as well. In fact, Kali was certain that Eris’s divine magic control was several times higher than Lucy’s. Even Mira was a bit better than hers.

A second later, Lucy’s divine magic faded away, and she took a deep breath. Her stomach immediately rumbled, causing her to sigh deeply, “And I’ve just eaten.”

Kali looked at her, scanning her from head to toes, “You need to manage your divine magic. I’ll teach a few tricks that’ll work well now that you’re a full goddess.”

“Like what?” Lucy threw a glance at Kali, judging her. While Lucy looked like a twelve-year-old, Kali looked like she was just six years old, half her age. Not something that inspires confidence.

Kali pointed up with one finger, and Lucy followed her move, looking at the clouds. Behind the shining sun, she could see the massive and titanic golden statue burning with divine magic. Unknown to anyone.

“You must learn how to suppress and hide your powers. It’s to help you avoid troubles, and also keep those around you safe from your powers.” Kali started moving, “Only a real god can use those tricks, and you should be able to learn them now.”

Kali and Lucy were going to play together a lot, but only after Lucy met her sister. All Kali cared about now was making sure that Lucy’s power was in check.

“Arad!” Gojo looked at Arad and then turned to Liliana and Gug, “You two go meet everyone else, I’ll take Arad and see what he needs.” Gojo disappeared, and so did Arad.

Liliana sighed and looked around, her eyes stopped at Kali. She approached and gave her a bow. “Lady Kali, it’s an honor to meet you personally.”

Arad and Gojo stood side by side at the keep’s roof, looking down at the massive city. “Can you feel it?” Arad asked with a calm tone.

“Something hideous is hidden beneath this place.” Gojo looked down with a smile and then turned to Arad. “Is that what you wanted my help with?”

“It’s fallen god, got corrupted by that yellow abomination, Nyar. He is now sealed in a dimensional space, and we must kill him.”

“And the problem is?”

“He is the god of war, violence, and fighting. Meaning he is one tough bastard.” Arad waved his hand and summoned two chairs, one normal-sized and one fit for giants. He sat on the large chair and left the other for his brother.

Gojo took a seat and started thinking. “God of war, so I assume he has a powerful army to start with.”

“Valiant angels. They aren’t corrupted. But they would rather die fighting for their god and perish with him.” Arad smiled, “I’ve already taken down a quarter of them.”

“I guess you didn’t use your expansion. It would’ve been bad if you did without knowing what might happen.” Gojo took a deep breath, and Arad nodded. “I’m not an idiot, I’ve fought Kali. Anything that would take time to cast is just asking to get killed when facing a god.”

“It is.” Gojo looked at him with a smile, “Unless there are two expansions or more working together. I’ll keep him busy, and you unleash your expansion, then you’ll keep him busy while I bust out mine.”

Gojo drew on the ground with his finger, “Look, a god of war, fighting and violence would keep getting stronger the more we fight him. It’s just the nature of his portfolio. You can’t expect to kill a god of cheese by hitting him with cheese.”

Gojo drew Alexander as a stick figure. Arad was a tall stick figure with a triangular body, while Gojo himself was a thin one with hair. “We must kill him without directly fighting him. We must avoid fighting, violence, and war, since those three would just keep him alive.”

Arad nodded, “So it’s like not being able to kill undead with necrotic magic.”

“Exactly, the key to killing a god is using whatever is the opposite concept of their power.” Gojo smiled, “And I’ve got a plan.”
