The dragon's harem

Chapter 1399 - 1399: Up to Speed

While Arad and Gojo were going over their plan, the girls inside the obsidian keep were very busy.

“So you’re a goddess now, a gluttonous one.” Isdis looked at Lucy with a smile, “So when will you get fat? Seeing you still look like a broomstick.”

Lucy frowned and then leaned back, “Because I’m starving. No matter how much I eat, I never get full.” She then looked down, “No, that’s wrong. I get full, but I still want to eat more.”

“So you’re just a glutton, as expected. But I’m glad. You didn’t eat that much before.” Lucy sighed and waved to the maid standing beside the table to pour them more tea. “Bring Lucy more snacks, enough for five people.”

Lucy looked at the maid with a smile, “Make it ten people worth. Food just disappears when I eat it.” She grabbed one of the beautiful pieces of pastry on the table. It was almost four inches wide, but that thing disappeared whole inside Lucy’s mouth.

Lucy then reached forward and picked one of the tissues left for them on the tables to wipe their hands, and threw it in her mouth. “I can eat pretty much anything. Food, steel, stones, even cursed ore.”

“The death curse doesn’t harm you? But you’re a goddess. Kali is fine handling that ore as well, so I guess it makes sense that it doesn’t harm you.” Isdis looked at the window. “By the way, is there anything that makes you feel full? Drive away the hunger?”

Isdis smiled, “We also had a hungry one, Nina. But it seems that eating Arad’s flesh was enough to satiate her hunger. Something about how rich the void dragons’ flesh is.”

“We tried that, but it doesn’t work for me. My hunger isn’t mine.” She looked at the maid, “My hunger belongs to the people, both those who believe in me and those who don’t. For example, our lady here really wants to eat this chocolate cake.”

The maid’s face burned red, “No, I will never dare. Those are for the royal guests.”

“You’re speaking to a goddess, I’m never wrong. When it comes to this matter at least.” Lucy lifted the chocolate cake and gave it to the maid. “As long as people want to eat something, I’ll want to eat it as well. That’s why I’m driven to fulfill their need and find ways for them to satiate their hunger and desires for food.”

Lucy watched as the maid held the chocolate cake. “It doesn’t matter how many chocolate cakes I eat, as long as this made didn’t eat one and still desire one, I’ll desire one as well. So once she eats it and is satisfied, I’ll be satisfied as well.”

Isdis looked at Lucy with a wistful face, “It must be hard, dealing with all of that. Never feel full.”

Lucy sighed, “It’s the weird…oh, forget it.” She glared at Liliana, and then remembered half of the people of Gojo’s kingdom. “There are a lot of people who deserve their mouths sewn shut.”

Isdis looked at Liliana and then at Lucy, “What’s the matter?”

“Liliana and the majority of the kingdom’s people, I won’t take it against them. I’ll even say it’s normal. But, there are a rare few bastards that get me sick. We were just dealing with them an hour ago.” Lucy leaned on her hand and frowned, “Cannibals, the last thing I wanted to feel is a hunger for human flesh. Good thing Gojo is pretty good at killing people.”

“You even feel those people?” Isdis gasped. But that was the problem with godhood. Becoming one with the universe means having to deal with anything that relates to your portfolio. Like how Eris is having to deal with murder, Lucy has to deal with everyone’s gluttony, no matter how twisted it gets.

“Bastard put a baby on the table and started praying to me like I’m going to bless his potato salad!” Lucy cried in outrage and disgust, “I called Gojo immediately and told him to shove his foot down the bastard’s throat.”

Lucy was already panting, mentally exhausted just from remembering that. “Gojo did just that, by the way. In a second, too, he’s quite efficient.”

“He is Arad’s older brother after all.” Isdis nodded.

“I would say Arad is Gojo’s younger brother.” Lucy shook her head with a smile.

“Does it matter which of them learned from the other?” Isdis and Lucy quickly agreed that it doesn’t matter.

“So, what about you? Anything new, Ice Princess?” Lucy looked at Isdis with a smug face, and Isdis returned the smile. “Ice Empress now, got many kingdoms that need management. I’m far busier than Father ever was.” She frowned, “Now that I’m thinking about it, he’s been helping me less and less lately.”

“Should throw some work his way. Father always loved to sneak out of work to snack on cheese in the kitchen. How many times did we find him hiding with the maids inside the food storage room like a rat munching on whole cheese wheels?”

“To be honest, he still does that. But wait until you hear about Arad, I once found him snacking on a whole pig carcass like it’s a chicken leg.” Isdis sighed, “I even once found him hiding two whales in the castle’s basement. That’s the entrance to his lair, by the way.”

“Gojo does that as well. But he’s more fond of krakens,” Lucy swallowed a whole stack of pastries with ease. “Gojo also built his lair beneath our castle, just, instead of stone, he used Black Ice.”

“Black Ice?”

“Frozen Tar-like substance. Our wizards said it’s just water that got tainted black by Kraken ink, explaining why Gojo loves it. I can’t believe he made his lair smell like his favorite food.”

Isdis looked back and saw Liliana staring out of the window at the battlements. “Saw anything interesting?”

“All siege weapons here rely on the half-fallen-angels’ curses. None of them is something we can use back home.” She sighed and turned back toward them.

“Get me some tea as well.” She took a seat beside Isdis and Lucy, “I’ve been working nonstop for weeks trying to fortify the kingdom, I deserve some rest.”

“If I remember correctly, that kingdom was called Icewind, and Gojo is changing that name, right?” Isdis looked at her with a worried face, “That’ll be a lot of work.”

“Not just the name, but the flag, the army, everything is getting a rework.” She sighed and looked at Lucy, “And your little sister is our mascot. The kingdom would most likely end up being named Azura, and the flag would be a sky-blue lily engulfed in radiant light with a black background and its edges decorated with tiger-like stripes.”

Lucy looked at Isdis, “The azure color is the kingdom’s ice and snow. The lily refers to Liliana, the radiant light is me, the black background is Gojo, and the tiger strikes are Gug’s clan signature.” She smiled, “Ah, almost forgot, the pole carrying the flag in the royal office is Vars’s staff.”
