The spear, enhanced with lightning magic, flew so fast that no one was able to see it. In the end, it hit the monster's forehead and passed through without feeling any Resistance… if aquatic monsters were weak to wind, they were even weaker against lightning magic. Thanks to that, the beast was killed instantly.

The new options were quite good, but Aion went out and chose something that would fit his style better. It was quite funny after what he said that his choice would be the class Lancer… Maybe he would have chosen something else if he knew the skills available with accuracy, but he could guess it.

After checking the new class, Aion immediately regretted… not because of the skills, but because of the pain he felt. His body was wounded, and the low status only made him feel worse… so he changed back to the guardian class.

"It seems we won… and before the enemy could have buried us alive," Seris said and then sighed.

"We can't be sure yet… this place is filled with cracks, so we must hurry, just in case," Sauros said.

Aion wanted to rest. That day was really troublesome, so he wanted to rest for a week. Still, Sauros had a point… it was better to hurry up, and so they headed to the other side of the room after Aion made the Lancer-class process the massive monster. It was going to take a while to process it, though.

In the end, the entrance of the temple was pretty close, and the barrier was only on the size to protect the last room of the temple. It seemed that Aion's ancestors didn't have much leeway to build a bigger structure in that place. It would have been weird if she could change the entire bottom of the ocean to build something that could resist for three thousand years under such conditions, though.

After crossing the barrier, they found the last room, and it was identical to the others. The only difference is that on the table, Aion found the statue of an archer…

"Warrior with a sword, a dude with a book, and now someone with a bow…" Aion said. "Do you guys have any idea what those statues represent?"

"I guess they are like your ancestors' friends, or at least they should represent them…" Seris replied.

"We know that those two fought together, but we don't know much about them," Sauros said. "Only those two knew them well, and she decided not to reveal much about them or their adventures. Regardless, we should leave now."

They could talk about anything else later… They all agreed to that when they saw some water leaking in the room. The Guardian was defeated. The temple could last as long as mana existed in that world, but it seemed that the monster's presence also worked somehow to make things stable in the dungeon. The core was supposed to keep the whole structure going for a while, but maybe it gave too much power to the guardian…

The group left in a hurry, and fortunately, the whole structure only began to collapse once they left. Aion felt a bit troubled by that… he didn't think that he would need to return to the temple. Still, the idea that such a thing made his ancestor was hidden and practically buried underwater was a bit…

"Maybe I should do something about this in the future… once my magic power is high enough…" Aion thought.

After looking at the place for a while, Aion followed Seris and Sauros, who hadn't noticed that he had stopped. When they returned to the Breeze of the Sea, the group celebrated. It wasn't every day that they accomplished something of that level, after all.

"Nicely done," Seris said while smiling and then raised her right arm.

Aion frowned for a while since it was the first time he noticed that it was a bit weird that people could high-five each other in that world… at least, he felt that it was… in any case, they high-fived each other, and then Aion had to do the same several times with all the other crew members. In his previous life, Aion wouldn't have felt like that, but now he felt that it was a bit troublesome. Perhaps the thoughts that he had before the battle were bothering him.

"We should celebrate this, but first… let's move away from here," Sauros declared. "I find it strange that the people of the island stopped looking for the pirates, and they didn't find the island… sorry for spoiling the moment, everyone."

The whole group attained two amazing victories, so it was only natural that they would celebrate as much as possible, even though they were on an important mission…

"Come to think of it, my image of sailors is of drunkards that party whenever possible… probably because of pirates, and I can't help but compare them since they all work in the sea…" Aion thought.

The party started Three days later, and Aion's image only became worse…
