Although they had targeted the eyes of the beast, the monster's eyelids were tough, so they protected them. However, at least their attacks on the face stopped the beast for a while. The guardian eventually moved its tentacles to protect itself and then used others to fire the dark balls again. They dodged the attacks, but Aion could tell that they were getting slower…

"We need to force an opening on the monster's guard…" Aion thought while furrowing his eyebrows. "It is only an aquatic creature without a shell. If we attack for a few seconds, we should open a wound big enough that will eventually let us cause critical damage."

Sauros and Seris kept moving around the monster and eventually ran a full circle on it. Although they weren't causing that much damage, at least the beast didn't know how to get rid of them instantly.

"Save your energy and only attack like usual," Aion said. "Wait until I force an opening on the enemy's guard."

Those two nodded. That was a risky plan… the poison was starting to make Aion look a bit pale. He could take the damage over time, but he was also taking for Sauros and Seris, and that complicated things.

Aion essentially told them to not mind if they were about to take hits, he would take it for them. So, in order for that to work effectively, they had to cause as much damage as possible and make that worthwhile… When the siblings were in opposite directions, they stopped moving and then charged at the monster while using their crossbows.

When the beast tried to stop them with the dark balls, they hit those back with their projectiles. They easily won the exchange and managed to hit the enemy while they were at it. Without any other choice, the monster used water cannon agaisnt Seris and then swung its tentacles toward Sauros.

They stopped to dodge the attacks, but then some earth spikes emerged from the ground and stopped one of the tentacles completely, and before the water cannon could get enough power, Aion hit the face of the monster with another earth spike, forcing the beast to raise its head and then lose control over it.

Despite that, those two still were hit by a fraction of the attacks, and they couldn't help but frown when they didn't suffer any scratches… they saw Aion trembling a little, though. In that short window of time, they approached the monster's head and then attacked. At almost point-blank range, the damage caused increased.

They passed by each other while they kept moving since stopping in front of the enemy was suicide… Unfortunately, the beast didn't let go of that opportunity and used all of its tentacles to surround and smash them. That was the opportunity Aion had been waiting for… Using all of its mana, he summoned several massive earth spikes that not only blocked but pierced the tentacles of the beast quite deeply.

"HUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHH!"

The monster grunted in pain while blood gushed from the wounds, and then Sauros and Seris began to bombard the monster's face as they got closer… if that wasn't a good chance to attack, they didn't know when it would be…

Those two bombarded the face of the monster as they approached the beast. Seris even increased their speed to the limits, and she also reached her limit as well since her face went pale… even her powers had limits when used like that. Still, at the cost of her mental exhaustion, they got five times faster… it was even better than the power of Force release… even though it wasn't as well-rounded.

The face of the monster got covered in blood as the wounds increased. Despite that, Aion only felt more unease… a beast becomes more dangerous when it is wounded and against the wall, after all. Aion's suspicions were confirmed when the eyes of the monster were destroyed by the siblings' attacks.

"HUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHH!"

The beast grunted in pain even louder, and the Aion felt shivers when he saw the tentacles being raised at the same time. Sauros and Seris ran away with all of their might, but the beast still slashed the tentacles on the ground and kept attacking as it was, hoping to hit them with a stroke of luck. However, the attacks were too easy to read, and they were hitting the same spot again and again… something was off, and Aion understood what it was when the entire dungeon began to crack.

"Son of a bitch…" Aion said. "That thing wants to bury us underwater…"

Aion changed his class to Spearman and then prepared to attack. However, Sauros stopped him in the middle of his dash and touched his shoulder. All of a sudden, the enemy stopped moving when Aion felt a small barrier being erected around him. However, Sauros and Seris weren't inside…

"I guess this is the best he can do by using this kind of technique all of a sudden in these conditions," Aion said. "That other barrier lasted for fifteen minutes, but this one shouldn't last that long… I have to think of a way to defeat that thing before the barrier disappears."

Actually, Aion already knew a way how to do that, but he never had the chance to pull that off since it required some time to prepare. The time that the barrier granted him.

After recovering some of his mana, Aion used it on his spear, making the mana pass through it. He thought that it would be a harder time making that with lightning magic, but it seemed that the experience had helped him… he still was shocked now and then, though. After that, he let the remaining energy inside him explode with Force release before he stepped out of the barrier.

Time began to flow again, and then Aion jumped and used all his might to throw his spear at the monster.

"Gae… Bolg!" Aion shouted.
